4wd vs 2wd transmission mount

okayy so i have been informed that a 4wd auto trans mount on the body is different than a 2wd trans mount on the body.
Is that correct?
Also will a 4wd manual trans fit right into a 4wd auto wagon?

I know there's someone here that will not agree with me, but I know for a fact that:

    FWD manual
    FWD auto
    RT4WD auto

all have the same mount welded to the passenger side frame rail just above the transmission.

RT4WD manual is the unique one.

This is based on the research that I did from part numbers on the Honda parts listings from http://www.hondapartdeals.com. They have listings for the mount itself, and the part number is the same for the 3 listed above, and the RT4WD manual has a different part number. These part numbers correspond to what my local Honda dealership parts guy told me as well.

My own personal direct experience is that the FWD manual mount is different than the RT4WD manual mount. I converted mine from FWD to RT4WD and drilled out the spot welds, removed the mount and welded in the correct one.

Drill out the spot welds and remove the bracket:

    New bracket:

Old chunk of chassis the wreckers gave me with mount attached, which I drilled the welds out of to remove the bracket:

New bracket sitting in position, waiting to be welded in:

Here's pictures of the FWD manual mount as well as the RT4WD mount. You can see that the RT mount is quite a bit taller, and goes down over the end of the transmission, whereas the FWD mount sits on top.

thanks for the information. so to clear this up. i would have to get a RT4WD MANUAL body MOUNT off of a RT4WD Manual body?

or can i get a normal crx/HB/sedan tranny mount and weld it in mine?

its very similar to a FWD b-sereis swap but u have to use use some sort of hydro conversion for the CRV trans and your gunna have to mod the engine mount attached to the frame kinda like if u wanted to just put 5 speed RT tranny in there. KISS (keep it simple stupid) and stick with a single cam and RT 5 speed trans mini me it and boost the bastard lots of guys on here running that set-up and having tons of fun.
