What Upgrade Fuel Pump or Walbro Fits The 4WD Wagon?

I've searched endlessly looking for this answer and I cant find the answer anywhere not here and not even out in google, just people talking about it. Hopefully I have missed it and the answer will be easy. I need to upgrade my fuel system for a built motor, and have found that the 88-91 civic/crx fuel pumps are not the same as the 4wd style fuel pump (even honda calls for different part numbers for the wagon vs the sedan/hatchbacks) What have you guys used and verified as proper fitment without modifying parts to fit? Any Walbro 255 fuel pumps fit?

  • I have a rt and I upgraded to a walbro. A 88-91 civic/crx fuel pump works just fine.

  • Yeah I just bought one too so hopefully it works out and fits fine etc, but JHPUSA scammed me, apparently their walbro 255 didnt come with the install kit, so I had to buy that install kit sepperately (400-965) from horsepowerfreaks.com I will never shop at JHP again, this was the last straw, products are never instock, they lack customer service and they never call back even to tell me a product isnt instock or on backorder, just stick with ebay I guess, way cheaper etc...And when I do call JHP they are rude. Horsepowerfreaks wins again...And I have already received my install kit from Horsepowerfreaks before JHP has even called me back to let me know about availability on a kit, FAIL!

    wow gang ..
glad im not in your state... actually i get 90% of my parts from EBAY..
I do my research on what works and what wont....
run my ideas by a few folks that know HONDA's
then search EBAY first ... then AutoZone... Pepboys .. etc

i know this is old but i thougt id throw my 2 cents in about 2 years ago around the same time you guys posted about jhp i was dealing with them and there are really rude. i had 6 people and we were going to spend around 7 grand on suspension parts shirts and alot of other stuff. the do a deal where the more you buy the better deal/ free stuff you get. i had everything together and the guy would never return my calls. finally when he did he said he lost the list of stuff i sent him and wanted me to resend it. just a bunch of crap. then as i waited for him to get everything together and see if he had it in stock he again never got back to me. so after awhile longer i was like dude do you want 7 grand worth of bussiness or not? we ended up not getting the stuff from jhp. bad customer service, rude staff, they say there gonna give group discounts but in the end they tack on extra charges.
