Rear Seat Swap

Anyone swapped out they're rear wagovan seats for dx seats? I've got a true wagovan with cargobars and sticky vinyl interior. Just recharged the ac. Soo much happier now that my fatbutt will stick to it less. However my local pullajunk had a wagon that i stole the 60/40 rear out of with all of the brackets including the spotwelded pin bracket. I'm going to do a DA front seat swap tomorrow, and I'd be happy as a possum eating a pile of poo if I could swap out the rears. My friends say the rear in my RT is much more comfy so I'd like to swap it for myself and for their sake. Anyone have any insight.

Anyone done a swap similar atleast? I'd consider doing a pan swap as long as I could have the cloth interior.

I'm sure it can be done, the hardest part will be welding in the center pivot. Do the bottoms mount in the same location/s?

Do it, take pictures, post up a how-to!

I took the pivot with me, however, I will not be welding it back in. I only have a flux core welder that would not be suitable for such thin metal. I'm not sure about the seat bottoms. It appears the outside holes may line up, however there's a hole missing in the wagovan for the middle bracket. The seat back brackets will have to be bolted on and I know the vinyl will have to be cut for the holes to let the brackets protrude. I may decide against it because I have alot of other work to do. But if I do, I'll make a FAQ for y'all

Got the seat bottoms in. Cakework, drill one hole in the center for the 60 seats middle bracket. The 40 seat bolts right in. The backs seem just as easy. However you have to drill holes for the "U" brackets for the seat back latch. The rear interior needs to be removed, pain in the ass with the speaker pods and seat belts. It seems once those back brackets are bolted on, it's a matter of lining up the bottom of the seatback and jbwelding the bracket in between both halves in place.

Haven't had time to finish this, mini me swap in progress. Timing belt broke, figured id step up from dpfi to obd1 mpfi. My other wagon has a broken clutch pedal as well, while my crx has main relay problems. Between the 3 of them, you'd think I'd have a reliable car, not. I eyeballed the rears some more, however, and it looks like the u shaped brack that holds the seat backs in place on the sides of the car, will need longer bolts and some spacers. It could be because I haven't got the bottom of the backs in place yet, but it appears to need a little modification to reach out to the seat latch.
