How do you feel about automatic belts?

I feel way less safe in my auto belt than I do in a manual belt. It's getting to the point where I'm just thinking about changing the seats, welding in a rollbar, and throwing on 5 points.
Anyone else?

My first two were 90's with auto belts. My first one had a broken lap belt when I got it. Then the automatic belt got stuck in the open position one day while delivering pizzas. A cop noticed and pulled me over and cited me. Which happened to bring back a speeding ticket (my last in 2003, knock on wood) that I had differed. Which in all cost me close to $300 seeing as I had to pay for the first ticket on top of the seatbelt violation.
Good times lol
Much happier with the manual belts in my 88!

Whats this!
Zombieland Just watched it a couple nights ago. Love it!
Not to mention my favorite football player was Derrick Thomas growing up. Missed two days of school when he died.
Seat belts are extremely important. I've had fights with my friends about not letting them ride in my car w/o. In WA you can get pulled over for a passenger not being buckled up.
But for now the auto belts are just funny to everyone who rides in it! lol And when I get into other cars without it, I still wait for the belt to come off me..lol
wagon....................4ever........................
LOL... That is funny....
btw The 4-dr and wagon doors are not heavier because of Seat Belts (just the door beams, which I am happy to have protecting me and my family). The CRX and hatch models had reinforced doors because the seatbelts were mounted to them in 90-91.
i'm glad my wagon has none of that mess to deal with...
I started the habit of just disconnecting that thing from the slider before getting in, I'll put my seatbelt on when I'm damn ready! haha
I also like the feeling of buckling myself in as part of a routine that focuses my attention on the task at hand: Driving.
I found this thread while searching the forum to see if anyone has swapped out their '90-91 belts/trim/hardware for the '88-89 version. Doing so is the only way I'd consider a 90s wagon.
