I have a question

kind of a irritated problem.
I noticed on a delivery last night that my car was shaking when I accelerated really bad.
When I went around turns also.
But it would just stop and work right sometimes.
Now I checked my cv axles, and found this

so that same day I went to a junkyard and grabbed another b series one of a 91 ls
(kinda blurry, phone)

replaced it.
Went for a test drive and it rode smooth. until I took a corner and got on it, it started bumping like
I have a flat tire or one my my tires isn't on all the way.
it made no sense at all.
So that night I rotated the tires and I have horrid camber wear.
so I put the back ones in the front and now my car turns to the left.
but doesn't shake as bad/doesn't at all.
Note:when I had the front ones on the front the steering wheel was slanted to the left but drove straight, now with the back tires on the front, it is straight but turns left.
so I'm wondering what's going on?
Could it be my clutch?
My trans?
or Could it be my camber wear/alignment?
or if my tires aren't properly balanced?
I have no idea, kinda flustered about it.
Just trying to bounce some ideas because no one can seem to do that.
thanks if you help.

Have you tried to get an alignment?

This can often help pinpoint the problem, even if it doesn't fix it you can still see the problem area in the data.
  • Where would I go?
I got the tires balanced today.
    and it wasn't that.
I got some price checks on alignment and they all said 60-90 dollars but also,
they said my car is too low.

Go somewhere with a recessed lift. If they are an alignment store without a recessed lift then they can GTFO as far as i'm concerned. :D

    Check your front wheel bearings.
  • Well now I'm under the assumption that it's my driver's side cv axle.
because it shakes when I gas it and around turns
I figured my issue with turning to the left is because I rotated the tires with excessive camber wear

but I know what you mean
they should be okay with low cars:(

my wheel bearings are fine, no squeaks and it doesn't shake at all(thank you for the idea though)

Often with the outer CV when it wears it makes a clacking noise as you turn and acellerate.

Never heard one knocking but i guess you never know.
  • a clacking or clicking noise that changes with speed of the vehicle(going straight or in turns) would point to the axle. the position of the steering wheel would point to an alignment/tire issue.
