So you spacered the axle behind the hub? I'm not sure I see enough benefit potential to accept that. The axle problems I've had are from extreme angles, not length.

Did you get the toe links figured out?
  • you have a major wobble under acceleration around 30-40mph? I have a huge one and im wondering if its due to axle angles.
  • ive been seeing wobble around that area too..I have quite a few things on my to-do list to remedy it but new axles is one of them (thinking they may be bad cheapos). Also need new tires and a few small things.

Are you lifted? Because I have new axles and new bearings and new tires and stilllllll have a very bad wobble, like shakes the whole entire wagon. unsure of what it is...my only guess is axle angle.

The only time I had a vibration like that on mine it was a bad (brand new) axle.

I have no wobbles and I think my suspension is stretched farther than yours.. I would definitely look at those axles..

Did you ever get you spare wheel from me?
  • Holy sheep shit!!!

Yes I am (build link in my sig). Im really hoping its just a bad axle or something simple like that...
  • I had figured it was axle related, but i just was unsure. I never really mob on the highway so i only get it when i really get into the throttle. Its getting to be that time when i start driving Jane on the reg so i'm not going to mess much with it. Maybe if i get some time i'll look into ordering some new axles in the front and see what happens....oh when i rip one out again haha.

    ok gents
i got that much needed lifetime 4wheel alignment ....
    bad news

the drivers rear is adjusted all the way out and i was told it needs an inch more ....

i have blox toe & camber adjusters....

the big question is who makes the longest ...?

no i didnt get my Spare tire from you yet ....
i have random vibration ..... my thought it could be axle or my front accord fork seems wide around the front control arm
    Holy sheep shit!!!
is this a good or bad..???
where in Florida do you stay ..?

it was a hassle for me to get autozone replacements but i dont really do any harsh throttling .... Scrappy isnt for speed .....
but i know Goldie is a beast...!!!

    debating :
    1. find them rear adjustable threaded lca
    2. see if more threads could get welded on current adjusters

just want alignment as close to ZERO as possible:hopelessness:

Whew, you had a lot of catching up in that post!

Let's address your main issue: if that toe adjustment is that far out, we need to look for another (root) cause. What do your RTA pivot bushings look like? Can't recall if they were already replaced. There has to be some other variable in play here.

yes sir lots of catching up over here ...

the rear trailing arms both got sand blasted and painted then all new hardware right before being dropped off @ Import Alliance August 2012

well the rear trailing bushing is energy suspension
here is the only picture i located
But let me know if u want me to go get a quick current picture now....:encouragement:

Bam could that bushing be in backwards..??? to push the alignment off this much..??

so i hope this print out helps

I am seein' that it's in a degree on the LR tire, does that equal 1"?
Isn't this the same side/ corner that the camber link fell off of a few months back?

im clueless on the degree ... ( but the tech mentioned if threads was longer he could get Scrappy closer to ZERO)
and yes the drivers side is the toe link that unthreaded on the way home from Import Alliance ...

    im open for suggestions ....

i can go take a current picture of each side if needed guys ..

I don't think the ES bushings can go backward, no.

Is the inboard end of that toe adjuster slid all the way to the end of its slot? I don't have the adjustable links on mine, and I couldn't get my rear toe-in set neutral unless I added a degree of positive camber.

ok gents i ran to the store n Scrappy and sat behind a school bus ......
rolled back a few feet on a hill and the left rear end was pop, pop, popping a few times as it rolled back .....

also it was a little squirrely in the rear @ higher speeds ....

What I was telling you here is move the camber to allow more toe adjustment.

in other words, move the rear of the arm in a bit instead of trying to get the front of the arm further out.

progress is kinda at a stand still ....

ok gang so im still stuck on the drivers side rear not aligning .... i need to swap some parts or drive Scrappy 5,000miles to get realignment ....

    QUESTION
would you think my BLOX LCA could be the problem..????
maybe a stock set and alignment would be good to go..??
im also thinking about sticking the front coils off my first generation Odyssey on the rear of Scrappy to try and fix the squat ....
