Hatch Struts?

Does anyone know if the 84-87 hatch struts will fit on the 89-90s? I can get a set for a 84-87 for about $25 bucks cheaper, but I didn't know if the would fit. Does the regular Civic Hatchback hatch struts fit? Thanks
