Two Stupid Questions re: RHD vs. LHD

I've been kept awake at night wondering...

1. Do RHD wagons wipers wipe in the opposite direction than LHD?

B. If someone had the patience, stoopid $ and parts, could a dual control wagon be built? (ie drive from either side: an ambidextrous car, like a driving school might use)...

It'd be great for roadtrips... and getting outta tickets (no officer, SHE was driving!)

the windshield wipers always wipe from left to right since the motors are put in one direction on both models.

    2. you can create a dual side driven wagon (like a driver's education car) but it would take alot of fabrication.

my calendar goes from march 31 to april 2 cause no one fools me. ;)

false  RHD models wipers go the other direction.

fun fact: the antenna is also on the other side

Would be pretty dumb if the driver couldn't reach out the window and extend it. :P

Regarding the wipers, look at any car and you will see that often one wiper covers more surface area than the other, that is usually the drivers wiper.

The answer is simple really...... - meth + pot = have a good night!

jk but really smoke some pot i do every night before i go to bed. (i sleep like a baby)

Nope, I spoke to your Doctor, and we're both concerned you're not getting enough! Oh how I do worry....

And meth = death. I understand you were joking, but I'll thank you not to sully the good name of marijuana by speaking it in the same sentance as meth :x . No one has or will ever die of THC overdose (I'd volunteer to try - just for the pure science, you understand)

    Here's the faces of meth:

So.... we've confirmed the front wipers wipe towards the driver, antennae are drivers side mounted, and the toilet swirls clockwise in the southern hemisphere... how about rear wipers? Mine rests on the LH (passenger) side of the car, and wipes toward the driver's side....
Ditto for RHD, or mirrored? Has anyone swapped LH/RH specific parts? Anyone sporting dual antennae?

You can make the water flush in whatever direction you want, hemisphere has nothing to do with it.

As with the rear wiper, i think it's the same across all domestic markets but i don't have any images offhand to compare.

lmfao! no no no bro i said subtract -meth and add + pot = good night!

its all about.... METHODS NOT METHHEADS!!! :D
  • Haydz is correct about the toilet bowl thing HOWEVER the weather in the southern hemisphere does spin clockwise (an "anti-cyclone"). A thousand pardons! I had to read through the whole "Coriolis Effect" entry on wikipedia to be sure. I understood some.

NW WarWag, I see your point. Less meth does equal better sleep 8)

are the gas tank doors and buttons to release them on the drivers side of RHD cars? ive always kinda wondered....
  • HaydzHaydz Moderator
All relevant levers are on the driver side. I think petrol tank door is opposite the driver side but i can't remember offhand.
