JDM front bumber cover?

I have been looking at some wagon pictures and noticed that some of them are rocking JDM front bumper covers and some have both front/rear JDM covers. Does anyone know if they are just useing ones from an EF hatch or are they from a wagon?

If they are from a hatch, what modification is needed to make them fit? Or are they direct fit?
Thanks

Are you talking about the hood bra or the actual bumpers themselves?

i'm thinking he's talking about the bumpers... and the fronts well fit and the rear i dont think they do...
  • Sorry that I didnt make it too clear. But I'm talking about the bumper covers. Is it direct fit? Or is there mods needed to make fit?
  • Bumpers = The metal things that attach to the frame, also known as rebar to some of us.
Bumper Covers = The plastic molding that most of us consider "bumpers", holding turn signals, fogs etc.

Just to clear that up. :D

I would not agree with the above definition. Not all cars even have the core support, an example of this is the JDM/EDM Wagon.

    Bumper = support + plastic
Bumper Cover = a cover made of canvas or other such material designed to protect your bumper

Either way, both topics have previously been covered.

-Bumper covers ("hood bra/car bra" to some) were made for the Wagon. Topic
-The different bumpers available is limited, but any EF bumper fits with slight modifications. Topic
  • I have to disagree with your disagreement

Google search "bumper cover" and let me know what comes up.

So the JDM/EDM wagons don't have a piece like #4 in this ipb:

I find it unlikely that there is just a plastic cover on the car with no bumper at all.

its true. JDM and EDM wagons literally only had the plastic covering with foam behind it (front only). they were mounted via metal brackets..
  • Wow. I've swapped over a JDM bumper before on my EP3 to run the JDM covers and I noticed they were thinner (but honeycombed!), but to not have one at all is kinda crazy to me. Not that our wagons are the epitome of safety, but I would feel even less safe driving without a bumper.

On the contrary, it absorbs the impact and pops back out without needing to beat any metal.

Happened on my Civic Pro, pushed on one side and it all flexed back into place.
