IPod/iPhone setups

I'm toying with some different ideas for how I'd like to setup my iPhone in Jane. I've done glove box and center storage setups before, but I'm looking for something a bit more functional and secure. It would be nice to see the GPS, but honestly when I'm driving in my hometown I don't need it. So I'm considering (one thing) a custom mount via coin holder.

Far from impressed with the custom setups I've been able to find online, so far. Curious what other wagon owners have done. I like how bam setup Pebbles gps via ash tray. An idea I may steal.

    In my ITR I have my Ipod in the little pocket in front of the fuse box beside my right knee (USDM would be left knee), plug it in and control everything via headunit.

    In my shuttle I just have a Ipod holder that clips to the Center Air vents in the dash, holds it in plain site, easy to reach and importantly is easily removable so nobody decides they like your Ipod more than you do

    I love velcro. I put a strip on my iPodtouch (the soft side) and put the rough side right on a blank that I put in place of the hazard light switch. I popped out a blank below that and did a little modification and put the hazard switch down there. Keeps the screen right there almost inside the gauge bezel behind the steering wheel. I'll try and remember to get a picture tomorrow.
