Requesting Door Visors From Weathertech.com -

I was doing some research and I couldn't find any visors that fit like OEM. So my I was flipping through Car and Driver and found a vendor called "WeatherTech"

I was checking out their visors and sure enough they don't use any kind of double sided tape.
WeatherTech® Side Window Deflectors offer you fresh air enjoyment with an original equipment look. They are crafted in Germany from the finest 3mm lightly-tinted acrylic material available. Installation is quick and easy, with no exterior tape needed. WeatherTech® Side Window Deflectors are precision-machined to perfectly fit your vehicle. These low profile window deflectors help to reduce wind noise and allow interior heat to escape. Also available in dark tint for most vehicles.

* Maximize your fresh air enjoyment.
* Optically transparent.
* OEM quality.
* Sleek aerodynamic styling.
* Reduces wind noise.
* Installs inside the window channel.
* No unsightly exterior tape.
* Minimizes interior heat when parked.
* Helps keep side windows dry in the rain

So called them up and the representative said that they don't make them but they could if there was enough demand for them. "How much demand?" I asked...and she said well if there are enough people that request it I am sure it will be considered and that alot of car enthusiasts petition for specially requested products. We get a couple of requests now and then but not enough to get things moving because we mass produce them.

They have a request page

I think it's worth a shot, and it'd be nice to finally get some clean visors that don't require double sided tape and don't cost $200! So put if you got a minute, put in a request for some "side window deflectors." In my request I asked for all versions of the 88-91 Civic, CRX and Wagon.

So take a minute and fill out the request form. :!: Hopefully we can make something happen.

    Funny how they have them for the 89 HB, but the 88's are the ones with different door sashes. 89's should work for the 90-91's as well.

    I find those crappy ventshade visors on ebay all day long and I owned a no name brand of visors for my hatch for a short while but they too required double sided tape and it just looked cheap..

    I think as long as we keep asking for them them they'll eventually listen to the community. So I want the community to stay on top of this. Even if it's just sending a random request or even calling every once in a while. I am not saying spam the shit out of them, but make genuine requests. With all the time spent and wasted here maybe taking a minute to fill out the request form or call may help.

    We got nothing to lose.

    And if you know of other EF forums, feel free to copy the info and spread the word.
  • Good info. I filled it out as well.

    I got CRXCommunity and HT EF forum in on this as well.

    Not that it matters here, but I just learned that all 88-89 model hatch backs(not wagons)have pillar mounted belts. All 88 CRX's and the 89 HF have pillar mounted belts as well.

    Interesting

    I talked to my family and friends about this, I am gonna send a bunch of requests from multiple people to try and make a real "demand" for them. I should be good for about 10 requests by the time i am done! :mrgreen:

    Has anyone received a notice back from Weathertech yet?

    My wife called them and spoke to a rep, and apparently the requests are getting some attention.

    The rep mentioned that there have been alot of requests lately for Honda visors(I am assuming it's because of the EF's?)

    C'mon fellas, keep it up! Gonna bump this thread once, maybe twice a week to keep it alive and to keep the requests flowing. :D

    shuttle aka wagon...

    dunno what happened...

    they were there...
  • I just looked on Climair's site. They do have them listed for the Shuttle, but when I went to order a set it has a required field that says "area" or something similar, with only UK options listed. I emailed the company to hopefully figure out how to get a set shipped this side of the pond. Converted to USD they run $62 or so (depending on exchange rate), I'm sure shipping will be more. They were also listed as a "pair", but I don't know if that means front doors only or not, because they didn't have a seperate listing for rears. Hopefully they'll reply, and I will let you guys know what they say!
