B swap linkage problem

im using aftermarket linkage for a b swap into an ef. i know the linkage works because it was in my crx then in my old sedan now going into the wagon. the problem is it about an inch too short. i looked over the motor and it in there right all mounts lined up. so is wagon linkage different from civic?

After market linkage is over rated. When we did my crx swap we hacked the stock linkage from the crx and the linkage that came with the swap and welded them together. Worked better then mos peoples aftermarket.

if your swap came from a ef model car with a b16 in it then you didn't have to do anything you could have just used the jdm b16a linkage.

    well i found this viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2185&hilit=shift+linkage
does anyone have a regular civic stock linkage laying around? i can compare measurements to my stock wagon linkage.

ok i talked with a nother member on here with a swap and he said he tried aftermarket linkage and it was too long too. so im thinking wagon has specific linkage. im gona try and get some measurements on stock civic linkage to make sure.

I put Hasport Linkage in lil'ghost's B16 swap, but it was a conversion from auto so I can't say for certain that it would fit the OE 5spd holes w/out modification. On both of the other B-swaps I've done I cut and shortened Integra linkages. IIRC, though, I cut 2 3/8" out, which is the dimension I see mentioned in swap articles for all 4th gen Civics.

I'm going to stick by my original assertion: It will fit the same as other Civics.

I had to cut the linkage in mine to change the length slightly (I remember it being too long?), I started with EF8 linkages, the DA6 ones were too long. Ive used Innovative Mounts

I used an angle grinder with cutoff wheel to cut the original welds like this:

Then sat it on the car and rewelded, I didnt change the length of the other rod so it leave the shifter sitting forwards slightly, to get around this I heated the shifter and bent it a bit more, my shift bushes are shot currently so its a bit sloppy, but once I get some new bushes it should be much better
