Front Axle ?

I was told the drivetrain I have is from a 89 RT4WD. I ordered a right front axle today,and the inner Joint is too small diameter size. Are they giving me the wrong part, or did they change axle size between diferent years?

one thing you could try: go to rockauto.com and pick on the 89 listing and once you get the part you're after, compare the part number to that from a different year -- I've done this for lots of parts -- plus their prices aren't bad either

Thanks, that is exactly what I measured on mine. Time to call the parts store back today and figure this out.
