There are a few different ways to lower a civic:

In general you are just shortening the springs/struts to allow the suspension to sit lower.

When lowering a car properly I recommend replacing the struts with aftermarket ones. You can then chose to install lowering springs or coilovers. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. The last thing I recommend gettings is a camber kit. With the hondas when you lower them you get negative camber, so if you want to keep your tire tread longer install a camber kit.

Almost any suspension that's built for a 88-91 civic will work. Doesn't matter if it's a crx, hatch, sedan or wagon.

    That's the basics.
