HELP! RT4WD D series to 2WD B Series

I know that I have to change the pocket mount on the pass. side where the transmission bolts to and that most have used the one from the 2wd wagon but can you use any from another EF chasis? They should be the same but I dont have a 2wd wagon to compare to since I only have three RT's. I have searched but cant seem to find the info. Please let me know if I can use any EF 2wd pocket mount on my rt4wd.

    in the process of doing the exact same thing. i just added 1" hollowed out dowl rods to the bottom of the trans mount on that side. between the bottom of the mount and the trans case. works perfect and sets the trans exactly where it needs to be. just need a little bit longer bolts. this was a lot easier then replacing the bracket on the frame rail imo.

    I want a more stock look and thus the reason for replacing the bracket. I had considered doing that but it doesnt take much time to remove the bracket and install another one. Just time to find one!!!! hahaha

    honestly it looks pretty da#n close to stock. especially since i painted the dowels black to match the mount, but good luck with your search fine sir!
