Ran out of gas now it won't start.

Well, the wagon ran out of gas, and I happen to live in the NE. Now my little champ won't start, filled her up and all she does is crank but won't turn over. What can I do?

there is a little bolt on top of your fuel filter, take that off and turn the key to on, and if gas shoots out your fuel pump is working. you should check all your grounds, spark, main relay, yada yada. i hated dropping my gas tank to replace my fuel pump.
  • Fuel pump is brand new, I think it has a lot to do with the cold. I will check all of those though.
  • Ok so the fuel pump works, found oil in plugs, replaced vc gasket, added seafoam to the fuel, and still will not crank over. It tries and tries but just won't turn over, compression is good. Someone help.

are you getting spark? check that.
if not, it could be a bad Distributor..
  • Spark is there. I'm thinking it is the fuel filter. I'll have to wait till I get to TX and my car shows up to find out.
  • that would be debris in the fuel line...

    voltage levels ok ?
