RT4WD Wheel cylinder - any other models compatible?

Hey guys,
I'm kind of in a jam here and need to know if a rear drum wheel cylinders from any other model will fit my 91 RT4WD. I've got a race this Sunday, and when I went to bleed my drums, the bleeder bolt broke because it's so rusted. No one has the RT4WD wheel cylinder in stock, but they do have 88-91 Sedan/hatchback, which I assume is different. Anyone know if one from anything else would work if they had that in stock??? Hoping to find something in stock tomorrow morning to get this rockin.

Thanks!!

Check with Honda or a better parts dude.I almost positive it's the same as the Civic HB,Sdn & CRX.
    Good Luck.

Every parts site I could find lists the parts different. They're either listed as 'Sedan, hatchback' or 'Station Wagon', but not in the same. Drums are different for these models too unfortunately,so I assume the wheel cylinder either has a slightly different shape or is larger due to the weight.

Anyway, I ended up picking up a couple at NAPA today. The guy said they were for the wagon, but these definitely wouldn't fit as is. I had to grind them down a little, as well as around the rear of the drum to the holes would line up. Ended up getting it though, so all's a go for tomorrow's race! :D
  • I believe they are different. I seem to recall my dad pulling a couple wheel cylinders off an EF at the pull it yard and then having them not fit my rt4wd. He did the same thing with the bleeder bolt too!
  • let just share of one of my crazy idea i had recently. i was thinking of putting a crv rear wheel brake cylinder on my RT. the size is 13/16" against the RT's of 3/4 only. i havent got to try to put it in yet but i guess it will fit. i might have some clearance or fitment issues. this is just an idea. the reason why im doing this is that i have a 11 inches prelude/legend for the fronts with 4040 prop valve.

    just my 0.02 cents

 4040 pv(disc/disc) is a bad thing for disc/drum combo unless u want brake dive.
