Radiator Bleeder?

Alright, I was looking at my manual and it says that the little thing by the block is a radiator bleeder. Well I had to pull the top hose off of the radiator, so I'm pretty sure I got air in there. So my question is, how does this thing work? I've never worked on a car that had one. How do I got about using it? Thanks

you looking for the bleeder valve?
that's the thing on the top hose at the end facing towards the firewall direction. you can't miss it, it's at the other end of the top hose.

you open it up when you change your radiator so that air doesn't get trapped in your system.

I know where it is at, I just didn't know how to use it. Do you just open it till coolant comes out?
