Wide Wheels on your wagon?

Anyone running 16x8 ET0 (or similar spec sizes/affective offset with spacers) wheels on their Wagon with just a decent arch flare? Not sure if I want to go down the line of spending $$$ on coilovers and LCAs and camber mods just yet.

Will I have clearance issues? Exactly how far do they protrude out with standard arches? I'm pretty sure I've seen a thread of a guy using 15x8s ET0s with stock suspension with cut springs but can't find it now. I've got 195/45s to go on my 16s too.

Any help appreciated

i know on my wagon i have a 15x8 +0 offset and the wheels stick out alittle..i got a set of sportmaxx 002 15x8 +0 offset with 195/50/15... i wish i could go lower but i cant unless i camber out the front with my camber kit.. i am all the way down and i cant even get my finger in the cap above the front tire... all you have to do is google a tire-calculator and put it my size and then yours it will tell you the diff in a 195/50/15 to a 195/45/16... you will need coilovers you wont need lca unless you want it to look good... camber kit is always a good thing .. but scrape_ur-mudz got a brand new set of camber kits front and rears and he does not use them because if he was to fix the camber he would not be able to fit the wheels under his car.. here are some shots of my wagon so you can see that the poke out alittle... also roll your fenders.. i did and it gives you alittle more room.. i hope this helps you out alittle anymore ? pm me bud..

    You gotta pay to play.

Cut corners and you'll regret it.

Was waiting for someone to say that alright. I'll play with chopping for the minute cos I'm broke as hell, if the shocks ain't up to it I'll start putting monies aside for some uprated gear.
  • alot of people are puting wide or deep dish wheels
on their wago's. im seeing more and more of this.
on to my question, people say you should roll your
fenders. so what exactly does this mean.
    thanks

Fender rolling refers to the practice of flattening the lip on the inner edge of the fenders to gain more clearance for stupidly chosen tire/wheel combinations.

  • Please don't put on low offset rims without rolling or modding Ur fenders. Having a stupid amount of rim. And tire sticking out of Ur fender is not cool. i love low offset but the whole point is TUCKING

    Classy look.. love it.
  • what about the rat rod look. With the front down and the back
up, with the rear tires sticking out rollin on wide wheels. I love
the flat black look and was thinkin what it would look like.

    ^^ no

"rat rod" look is an OLD car, sitting on the ground with period specific mods

Exactly. 16x9s and 16x10s and this is what it required on my end.

I love the look of a wide tire on a car but only if it is done right. If you are going to roll your fenders please get the right tools to do it.
