Lightweight flywheel?

what are the pro's and con's about having a lightweight flywheel while boosting? i have an ls on 12psi i was wondering if it would be safe to run a fidanza 8lbs flywheel. i've heard good and bad things. has anyone personally had experience with this?

    Every car I have owned that I modified I ran light flywheels. Even the boosted cars I had and built for other people, I used them. There is nothing wrong with running them in my opion. If you can shift fast enough there is no drop off of rpms. As a matter of fact the help with spool of the turbo alittle. I am building my rt4wd wagon for boost and I will def run one in it.
