CRX SI Brakes & Suspension on wagon?

I've searched but I cant find what Im looking for. Maybe I just missed it..

Anyway, I have a 90 CRX Si sitting in my driveway. Im going to pull the rear arms and sway bar off today and also wanted to pull the front upper control arms. I know that aftermarket arms are the same but im not sure if the factory arms are the same. Does anyone know if they will work?

What about the front brakes? Would it be a worthwhile upgrade for my wagon? Can I possibly swap the whole spindle/assembly?

Thanks in advance :D

Front upper control arms should be the same.

Si/Dx/Lx front spindles are the same as wagons :) no upgrading there.

If you ever want to make sure things are compatible check out www.hondaautomotiveparts.com choose the car you want to check parts on choose the part and then add them to your cart. then look up the other, if the part is interchangeable they are usually highlighted already!! Otherwise add to your car and check out your cart to see if you have 2 of the same thing or different.

at least thats what I usually do.

Don't forget to pull the following:
a)MC(check size to make sure it's bigger than yours).
b)Disc Porp.Valve(if rear disc in case u want to convert to rear disc later).
    c)the whole Rear disc (if it's r.disc) & r.swy.bar.
    d)Front brakes(yes they're bigger)
  • so are the ef civic si front brakes the same as the crx si? and the are bigger than dx/std/hf/wagon fronts?

Yeah the crx si should have the same brakes as the wagon. An integra brake setup would be a sick upgrade though!

The front spindles and discs are the same at 9.5", but the CRX Si caliper, known to a few, is slightlyu fdifferent. Its got a hangar on the bracket, is a bit heavier, and the pad is a bit bigger, so its an upgrade, but not a whole lot, though if its free, do it! The DA Integra brakes require 10.3" brake-style knuckles, IE the 90-91 Civic EX knuckles.

90-91 RT4WD use the same caliper as the CRX if i'm not mistaken.

So swapping them does nothing, correct?
