That's a really nice pic of the engine . Looks like it came from the factory like that . Hella nice .
Yeap, especially the airbox part....
Yeah... working on that. But, it still looks great all stock like... kinda different. But, I've been looking in to some short ram intakes. But, I gotta get my suspension right first. Got new front shocks and today I'm prolly driving to Summit Racing for 90-91 wago specific rear shocks
LOL... Rev that was a good laugh .. U Go GIRL.....
thats a nice stance... not to low ... the molding looks like brand new... 8)
I'm kinda used to everyone assuming I'm a dude, but it's cool. Soon enough everyone will know I'm a chick, and, yeah, the stance looks good, my front flaps hate me though. People on the street STARE cause they scrape ALL the time!
Oh - and nothing like a fresh coat of trim paint! It really helped the look of my baby.
I love seeing these on facebook now, I get the inside scoop..lol
How are those skunk2's working for you, they help your camber out alot? Are you running tophats on that setup?
I put a lot more random stuff on facebook, lol.
I can really tell with the skunk2 uca's, and new shocks, the ride is SO much nicer. No tophats actually. With the stock shocks you can get lower with the car [well with some nice springs/sleeves, I suggest] and the ride not be as crappy. Rev has skunk2 shocks all around and had to put top hats in the rear to get the ride nicer since he's slammed in the back.
When I got to the shop yesterday my camber was hella negative. In the front it was something like -3.6 and -3.2 and the rear was like -4.8 and -4.3 something along those lines, I don't really remember, but anyway it was insane - oh and the toe messed me up some too. The camber kit helped when I got the actual alignment, but when we put it on, it gave me a lot more camber .. and it's also gonna make me have to raise the car some, cause the toe is making the wheel come just a lil' too far in, so it rubs the fender when I make turns, or go over some crazy bump. There are some possibilities as to why I couldn't get to completely corrected, but, we think it might be the fact that even though I got oem replacement shocks for the front, they may just be a lil' bit shorter then actual stock [dunno why] - oh and I need to get some adjustable toe links for the rear cause the toe is only slightly negative in the back. So - looks like I gotta raise her up some, esp in the front, so I don't eat away at my tires. So, all in all - yes the camber kit helped a lot and no I don't have top hats.
Holy shit this was long ... sorry ...
Oh and a new thing for me to work on today - my dash lights aren't coming on when I turn my lights on and my cd player won't come on either. Hopefully the rain here will hold off some so I can go out there and see what's wrong.
Brake lights work. I took the console thingy off and looked at the wires. A black one wasn't connect all the way and then I see an orange one that says "dimmer" on it .. and it doesn't seem to be coming from the cd player, but I don't see where it goes to connect ...
Oh cd player has been installed for a while. But ever since we did the swap the cd player was cutting on and off, but now it just stays off. *shrugs*
Edit: I'll check the fuses too. I found a thread about this problem, but without diagrams it doesn't help LOL, since I'm not certain exactly what to look for and I don't wanna mess anything up.
I honestly dont think the SWAP had anything to do with the cd player... just funky timing im sure...
would you happen to have the link thread you found.. ( im searching for it now...) ive installed stereos over 20+ years and this should be a silly simple fix.. the orange wire marked dimmer would go into the factory to aftermarket wire harness if your original radio had illumination if not most installers head straight for the ash tray/ heater area for parking light...
that black wire you found where was it connected to..?? was it a ground ...??
I'm pretty sure the black wire is for the radio. I forgot to hook it up, but that was ok at the time since it was bought for the cd player. lol
When we did the swap the dash had to be pulled to convert to manual if you look back a few pages, so something probably got jumbled up then. I'll just have to look into it when I have more free time.

Oh - this just made my day!
Went and got the alignment and camber/toe corrected.
[washed her today and didn't put my hood bra back on, lolol. Stupid dents.]
Thanks to B18C5-EH2 for helpin'. Sadly, I've got to raise her up some, I'm eating my tire a lil' bit.

How long ago was the CD player installed ..?
could a wire for the illumination be simply crossed..?

I appreciate y'all's help SO much.
 what happens...
