Hi, I have a 1987 rt4wd, I would like to know if putting the drivetrain only in 2wd with the switch will damage or prematurate use some components? Also, is there a big difference in fuel efficiency if we set in 2wd?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Your 4wd only kicks on when you need it... it's not all-time 4wd.
If you loose traction, the 4wd kicks in until you regain traction.
Why does the epa rate the cars like 7.5l/100 2wd and 9l/100 4wd? More transmission lost even with 4wd off? I mean, its not 100kg that will add 1.5l/100. If you american guys don't know metric system learn it damn!
transferred into grip, reliability and
safety <--- without an index # ...
not by definition applies to the loss of mpg-ratio...
but everybody understands what mpg is, that is...
therefor its an average ...
for instance, it will cover more distance in, let say...sand...
instead of cooping in that same situation with 2wd...
then one will be confronted with an more economic average...
driving 4wd...
it's not bad to run in 2wd, it's too bad that one
drags a 4wd system, doing nothing...
or vice versa...
you know me...
c'mon peepz, stay sharp...
dont forget the big picture...
