Crazy rattling sound

Why does my wagon give off a crazy sound when Im at at a light or warming up the motor

    could you elaborate a bit? this is a bit vague lol.

    first thing that i thought of though was a loose heat shield.

    It sounds jsut like that.....a real metalic sound...real irritating......especially when the neighbors are sleeping...lol

    i would definitely check the heat shield at first, loose exhaust parts..

    yes...and no. The rattling part may be the heat shield that is on top of the exhaust pipe, or maybe a broken resonator or converter. (If it is indeed an exhaust noise, I can't hear it from here :P )

    Mine has a cracked exhaust heat sheild, rattles like a mofo, just pull it off and the rattle will stop

    Hey everyone thanks....for the advise I went under(with the car on) not the best thing to do ...and cut that sob off......now I got ot work on my measurements for my new exhaust......
