i had some extra high temp red paint..and got creative..besides, the black paint was all peelin' and not looking to hot.

    on my old single cam, i messed around and painted the vc wrinkle red! came out pretty nice, but urs looks hott!!!

    Good work. Suggestion...hit it with another coat of hi temp clear to keep the exposed aluminum from oxidizing.
    My only problem with DIY paint is the longevity in the engine bay...eventually, it will get nicked by a tool or have oil, gas or some kind of chemical get on it and then it bubbles/peels/discolors.

    Anybody who can make a valve cover like that out of paint should be considering some powdercoating equipment. It is a lot tougher than paint. Easier and faster too. I bought a little hobby kit that has paid for itself 10x over.
