  • Sweet build. I need to fix the rust on my quarters like yours.

Finally got the engine bay painted! I had to fix a lot of rust on the passenger rail and then clean up all the things I had to do to get the engine to fit.

Started on the brake line tuck.

    Then I got my ecu.

Should be getting some big things in the next few weeks. Hopefully I can have the engine down in it in the next few weeks as well.

Looking good bro. I finally got my motor out. Going to clean the engine bay and prep for the install next.

Oh yea, did you ever talk to full-race and see if their traction bar will fit an H/F-series? I realize I need a traction bar too.

That's awesome man. Any pics of the progress? I never did call Full Race but I think I'm going to get one from Explicit Speed instead.

No not really, should get some more pictures after this weekend. So why explicit and not full race? Just the 25 dollars difference or so?
  • Epic build is epic.

Cant wait to see how this thing turns out. Hard line fittings and plumbing is soooo nice. :)

No the money isn't a big deal. First I'm not even sure the Full Race will work and then I've heard they hang really low and ground clearance will be an issue for me. I guess mostly the guy at Explicit seems like a cool guy and is willing to help people even if they don't buy from him and H22 into EF is such a small market and that's what he specializes in and I want to support him. I'm not set on anything at this point yet.

I have the Full-Race traction bar along with their radiator and it actually has great ground clearance.(B-series swap)

Is your car lowered and if so how low is it? I have koni/gc and they are all they way down so I'm concerned about ground clearance. Other people I know have the full race and clearance was the only complaint.

Yeah my car is lowered pretty good. I would say about 2.5" or maybe even a little more on Tokico blues w/Skunk2 sleeve type coilovers (integra spring rates). I do have to raise the front all the way up when running slicks at the track(22x8x13) because the oil pan would be on the floor otherwise.

Can you get some pictures of the clearance on the full race traction bar and the ground. That would be great man.

Here are a couple of shots from two different angles. I measured almost 5" from the ground to the bottom of the crossmember bar of the Full-Race unit. You can see by the scratch marks on the header skid plate that the header will bottom out before the traction bar.

Awesome man thanks! Sup MrM3 any updates? I don't have any, I have to collect/buy some parts now.
  • MrM3MrM3 Council Member
A couple minor things but nothing worth posting yet. Work and life has been crazy for the last week. Hopefully soon I can have something worth posting.
  • MrM3MrM3 Council Member
Couple of small things happened over the weekend. I painted the brake booster a week ago and got it back in and then finished up my brake lines.

    219.jpg

    220.jpg

Then I go the pedals back in it with the SONEM bracket installed and then ran all the lines for it.

    221.jpg

Mounted the reservoir in the cowl.

    222.jpg

Then I just finished up a lot of little things like mounting the shifter, running the e-brake cables, etc.

    Nice.....
  • this is the one thread i always come back to, progress is great, cant wait to see the end result. is this car gonna be at IA?
  • MrM3MrM3 Council Member
That's the plan. I'm hoping it will run by the end of the month, which is a little behind schedule because I changed what I was doing with the fuel stuff so now I have to wait for parts. I'm hoping by next weekend I'll have the engine down in it. Work is crazy right now so when I get off all I want to do is go home so progress has been slow.

    mega!
this is going to be so awesome.
let us know how you like the SONEM when it's driving.

i noticed that you didn't modify the towers.
    why?
  • MrM3MrM3 Council Member
I didn't like the way the passenger side looked plus I don't think I will be as low as I planned. If it does end up hitting I will just modify it later.
  • NJCIVICWAGON1NJCIVICWAGON1 Council Member
I hope to see this baby at IA!!!!!
