That's about how many I've went through so far. Just got done eating and it's time to get down to business so let the countdown begin. Engine in two hours from now.
i expect pictures to confirm this. tick tock tick tock
I really enjoyed reading through this build. The roof is my favorite mod out of everything. Great attention to detail. Very clean. My style. Keep it going (^_^)
I had issues with the engine that was in it so instead of messing with repairing it I just decided to replace it. When I ordered the engine I figured why not an H23 since they are not as common. Should be running and driving tonight hopefully.
Well met MrM3 tonight along with some of his crew, the pics dont do this car justice and his crew was as hospitable as anyone can ask, its nice to see there are people left in this world that take alot of pride in the work they do
Your car gives me a redwood in my khakis. If I could have one half as nice I would sh!t myself. My 90 wagon has been driven bone stock for over two years now and I want to/have to put in another engine but have no idea where to start or if their is anyplace around here that would do it for me. Seriously though your car is hot.
Next up I was having cooling issues with my Full Race radiator so I tried my friend's All In Fabrication tucked radiator and it consistently kept my temps down 14 degrees. So I bought one of those and the remote fill neck.
while doing the cooling I also got a new catch can and then used hard line instead of hoses
Before installing my engine I purchased a Bolt Boyz hardware kit. I am pretty disappointed with this kit. It lacked several bolts for it to be considered a whole "kit" in my opinion.
And last but not least I changed up the valve cover a little bit.
and I couldn't be rolling old hardware with the fresh valve cover so I got a dress up hardware kit and dipstick from Hare Ware.
I still have a few more things in the works that will be done before next week but I don't want to post quite yet. I should be getting a pretty big piece from UPS some time today. There has been a ton of other little detail things I've done that aren't worth the pics but make a huge difference in person.
I also want to give a huge thank you to All In Fab and Hard Ware for going way above and beyond to meet some crazy deadlines for me. Check them out and buy something if you can. Help support small family business, they are cousins working together on some high quality products. You can call Derek at All In Fab at (503) 302-1283 and Travis at Hard Ware at (909) 709-2992.
Love all the finishing touches you are still carrying out, its things like these mods that so many people (myself included) overlook that make your Wagon the masterpiece that it is
I like how you didn't completely shave the Honda or vtec logos off the camshaft cover. I also love how clean the tucked radiators look, but I live in the desert and need a/c.

Since last IA, after hearing about your car having heating issues, I've been worried about my Full Race radiator. If you don't mind me asking, how much did the All In Fab radiator and filler neck cost you?

I was thinking about that too. I am currently running the Full Race radiator on my build and had concerns about overheating since it seems a little small and I was hoping to eventually boost my setup.
MrM3...do you think your issues with your Full Race radiator may have been caused by the fan you were using?

It was $565. He actually has a sale going on right now so I'm not sure what the price would be. I would recommend his parts to anybody. His customer service is awesome and the quality of workmanship is top notch. If you do buy from him tell him I sent you his way.

The fan was a cheap Mishimoto that had 850 cfm however before I bought the All In radiator I bought a new fan that was 1300 cfm and it didn't change anything. I'm not sure if my car has some kind of cooling curse because I know of cars that are used for racing that do not have issues with the Full Race. While the full Race is very small the fin density is pretty insane so the size isn't a huge factor in my opinion. The major downfall to it is that it doesn't hold a lot of coolant so it obviously doesn't allow the coolant to fully cool since it is recirculated so quickly. My car consistently ran 205 degrees with the Full Race and now consistently runs 192 on the All In (which he says is still hot compared to most others that he has done). It has a full shroud with dual fans that are each 1300 cfm so it cools very well.

I'm confused...
Didn't your wagon already have a H22 M3??
Where's "here"?
First up I decided to go to manual brakes.
