LS VTEC external Oil Line

Ok i have the sandwich plat and stainles lin, and fittings.
i am aware that i need to have a hole drilled and tapped for the fitting to screw into. or is there another way i can do it without drilling??

im looking over bam bam's tech on HT, but that part is unclear

From what I can tell, you dont' have to drill an oil hole, just tap it to accept NPT (pipe thread). I saw a pic on angelfire from a link on hondaswap... I've not done this myself (yet) so I don't exactly know the answer to your question.

    different bam... :P

I dug around out there in the Skunkworks and took you some pics. Here's the way I understand it: either this hole

    or this one

    92.jpg

    which are obviously connected thus

My choice would be the upper, larger one.

Where the bottom of this intersects the head mating surface is where you have to thread and plug the original VTEC oil supply passage (or have it welded).

Disclaimer: again, I've not done this, just been reading up. Since I have 2 b16a's and 3 bi8a's it's bound to happen sooner or later  but for now I'm just sharing my understanding from the research I've done.
  • It is the larger hole closest to the didtributor.
  • THANK YOU!!!
my life just got so much easier bam bam!!
