Yes, car will start without the clutch. It just needs the pedal depressed, to engage the safety switch...

What are you doing, and what is your car doing? Step by step.

Turn the key to the "On" (not start) position. Wait for the Check Engine Light to go out. While the light is on, you should head a faint buzz from the back seat. When it goes out, you should hear a click. The buzz is the Fuel Pump priming, the click is the Main Relay stopping the prime. The electric and fuel system should be primed, and ready to start.

Now you can turn the key past "On" in attempt to start it. Is the engine turning over? If not, is there any clicking noise? If it is, do you smell fuel?

Provide more details, and you can get better answers. Hopefully something works for you.

Do you mean that the clutch is out of the car, as in the transmission is removed?
  • Sounds like a question one would ask before they figure out the pedal bracket thing.
