well i re-installed my navi system today...
before- there was a quarter inch gap all around that drove me nuts...
and word on the street was that they didnt make an aftermarket double-din
kit for the element; well i found one... it was the 3rd stereo store i went
to- phase4 in idahofalls no go, car and truck accessories no go; they all
looked it up on their computer and couldnt find a kit for the element---
anyways this place called Alpine Stereo in spokane did have one in
their computer system- and had it in stock... it cost 20 dollars...
here it is. its kindof a one size fits all as in like 2002 hondas and up i think...
instructions were extremely vague- and you have to cut the brackets as
per the crappy instructions suggest... you will need a file. a razor knife,
and i used some wire cutters...
althought sh!t instructinos; the fit was absolutely PERFECT!!!! no moar gap..
That nav system looks great. What does something like that run?
As for plans for the CRV...for now, it's just general maintenance, new tires, possibly a couple optional items like roof rack and spare tire cover. It's the misses' though and she's loves it as is. Fine with me...more money to throw at the RT and CRX.

around $400 which isnt bad really... its cool; yesterday i hooked my phone up to it via bluetooth and it
works awesome- made a couple of calls; its like having a car phone (downloaded my contacts on to it)...
also got my ipod hooked up to it; all controlable from the touch screen stereo interface...
very handy and fun...

Want one for free (cost of shipping)? I hate the look of my (my wife's) 2000 V with the roof rack on it. I've wanted to take it off ever since we bought it. If you're willing to cover shipping, and send me your rubber roof gutter/seam covers, I'll send you the rack and the rubbers from our car.
Now I just have to sneak it off the car without her noticing.
so i went to the junkyard and got some mudflaps for 35 dollars...
i've been meaning to do all my grey plastics with this- i just havent gotten
around to it... but it works great in restoring these mudflaps... and smells
good for some reason... i will do all the plastics later...
i wasnt really diggen the stickers on the rear window, starting to look trashy; like those subaru-outback-owners-with-dog-and-political-stickers on their rear windows trashy....
i removed them... and started to sticker the trim piece on the rear bumper...
waaaaaay less trashy? lols... my girlfriend says "o your car is so clean- that looks like garbage"
this was my favorite snap tonight--- i took 77 pics... this is the only one i was ok with... i needed a tripod baaaaad, but i wasnt planning on taking pix- it was just a nice sunset... excuses excuses...
yesterday the gf and i got a 96 jetskit to play with... so i had to wire up the Elements to tow.... luckily the 03 and 04 Elements are already hard wired for this, and all you have to do is plug it in..... shitty part is, is that its a bitch to get to the plug...
harness...
dismantle the inside passenger side to get to the plug behind rear quarter panel...
anyways i stopped taking pix cause i was eager to finish... but once plug is
plugged in your good to go.... its actually extremely easy and probably saved
a fortune doing it myself...
i was in the same position; i just could make up my mind... i couldnt pass up
the practicality of the E... but fits are rad too...
not much of an update but i installed a 2010 console... i have yet to find the
removeable cooler part of teh console for under 200 dollars... but i got
this for 20 dollars so i installed it...
a little modification needed... it sits higher (which is nice, brings drinks closer
to your hand), so i had to raise the ebrake... i used washers and new bolts to
raise the ebrake up approx an inch or so.... also i will need to mod my rear
carpet to go around the console- i need to find a upolstry shop around here
that will do that.....
