88' rear LCA question?

Just to confirm, I have a '88 wagon and was wanting to get coilovers and retain my '88 rear LCA's (for future swaybar install/predrilled hole on lca). SO.... Does anyone know if I can use coilovers from a DC teggy on the rear and EF coilovers on the front?

For '88 Wagon(EE) you can swap in '89-'91 EF LCAs or use DC rear shocks.

  • The only DC rear shocks that will be compatible with your 88 LCAs are ones from an ITR.

So I guess what most people do is replace the lca's with the 89-91's? Or is there a way to retain my '88 lca's and still get coilovers?

yup, as mentioned above, you can just get ITR coil-overs for the rear and EF for the front. retaining your current LCA setup.

    other option
-use DA/CRX Si rear LCA's, they have the holes ready for sway bar as well. then any EF coil-over.
  • I would stick with the ITR style rear LCA's, if they are good enough for the ITR they will probably do just fine for your wagon

I will trade you my 89-91 style for your 88 style. I got a good deal on some ITR coilovers now I just need the LCA's.

Sorry, ended up getting a set of the st pro arm lca's and drop forks, couldn't pass it up. People are selling them used on h-t for 300. Where as ST brand new while supplies last are 310 shipped to me. Great deal if you ask me! 8) Thanks for the responses by the way. This site has helped a crap ton. I love me some HCW :D

Once I get them on in a week or so after they come in, I will sell them to you for the cheap though. Just let me know if you are still interested.

Yeah I'm interested. Just let me know.
  • I have a 88 wagon. I just bought some ef coil overs and ef shocks online. do I need to change my lca's? And if I do have to change them, can I buy some aftermarket ef lca's?
