SI WAGON?!?

Ok so i'm looking to buy this car. The guy claims it's an SI. Did Honda even make an SI wagon? Thanks in advance.

The car is 4 hours away from me, but it looks soooo fresh! It's bone stock. My dream. It has 200k miles on it, but from the pictures it was very well-maintained. Perfect interior and exterior. He's asking $2500. (kind of steep in my opinion). Do you think it's worth $2000 even? I may offer him that. Or do you think there are better deals out there. Thanks you guys

No such thing as an Si Wagon.
  • Hmm... thanks for the quick reply. It still looks clean though. Is $2000 relatively high for a mint civic?
  • More pics of the interior/exterior

    USDM

The USDM Wagon was badged as either "Wagovan" or "Civic Wagon" depending on trim. It is left hand drive and was the only market to come with 'decapitator' belts (from 90-91).

    Civic Wagon RT4WD
    USDM 88-91
    Chassis Code: EE4
    Engine Code: D16A6
    Drivetrain: 6MT, 4AT, RT4WD
    Curb Weight: 2515 lbs. (MT)

    Civic Wagon DX
    USDM 88-91
    Chassis Code: EE2
    Engine Code: D15B2
    Drivetrain: 5MT, 4AT, FWD
    Curb Weight: 2262 lbs. (MT)

    Civic Wagovan
    USDM 88-89
    Chassis Code: EY2
    Engine Code: D15B2
    Drivetrain: 5MT, 4AT, FWD
    Curb Weight: 2262 lbs. (MT)

Other than that i can't really comment on prices i guess. Different markets and all. :D
  • Awesome. Thanks for the info. I read that earlier but I thought I'd ask just incase. Thanks again

I guess the price is dependent on personal opinion and value. If it were my car, I would say its worth 2500, but as a low baller, I wouldnt want to PAY that much for it. LOL.
  • i think thats a little high, i got mine super deals its about that clean and fresh and i got mine for 800.00 with 150k... and my home dude got one that is also very clean for 1500.00 with 130k... but it all depends on where your from and the market in your area...

I thought this one had sold, guess not. If it really is cherry, 2K or even 2500 isn't too steep. Like ideal said, I wouldn't want to PAY that, but would like to think it was worth that much...sort of a wholesale/retail thing, no? If you're looking for one to just turnkey drive, it's a deal. If you're looking to modify or restore anyway, wait for a cheaper one.

This is close to me, lmk if I can help you in any way.

Not technically an Si. But maybe you'll get lucky and it's got a MPFI conversion w/ D16A6?

    Motor pics?
  • Nah, he didn't post any pictures of the bay. I wish.

I do intend to modify it. Suspension, a head unit that plays more than just cassette haha, and just other tasteful mods.

Eventually im doing a vitara build but that's way in the future.

THEY'RE SO FREAKING HARD TO FIND THOUGH! I thought I'd jump on this one. Idk...

Thanks bro. Your'e wagon is an inspiration by the way. I love that car. Saw it at IA meet this year.

I think I'm going to pick this one up tonight!! If you know of ANYTHING I should check on it, let me know. Post it up here or TXT me. Thanks again (615) 967 8155

Rear wheel archs and whole rear end, check for rust.

Like Hayden said, just look closely at the body for rust or damage, and look at the interior condition. I know it sounds funny, but I don't even pay attention to engines or trannies...of course if you're paying 25, you want it to run, right?
Thanks for the compliments. Where ya from?

Yep good ol' Nashvegas. I have updates. I actually took your word for it and opted to wait and find something cheaper, especially since my intent is to modify it.
Well, yesterday I found one in Indiana and snatched it. Super cheap. Drove it home.

The bad: It does have some rust :( But then again, what do you expect for $500. I'm going to attempt to do the body work. I'm not new to body work by any means. But rust... ugh.

I bought the wagon in the pics at the top of the thread, it's not an si some one just put the sticker on there. It runs very well and has no rust, has a few dings though. The interior is one of the best I have seen. I drove it 180 miles home at 80mph and it never missed a beat. I gave him $2000 for it.

So, yeah any motor pics? Just wondering what it is or if it is just a glued on badge.

There are NO Civic Wagons badged or named "Si" from the factory. End of topic.
