What oil should I use on rt4wd 1987?

Hi, I just bought a 87 (carburetor 1.5l) 4wd wagon and I'm just thinking about what is the best oil to use?
Was oem grade 5 or 10w30? I am in Canada so for winter, would the 5-30 be better? I guess also that such an old engine is not designed for synthetic oil?
Thank you.
Also, if you know what diff oil and tranny oil I should use on a 87, it would be good. Is it the same as 88+?

It is not bad to use synthetic oil on such an old engine? Its carbureted.
Also I found doc about gen 3 1.5 carb civic, I will go with 5w30 for winter only, and 10w30 for spring/summer.
I bought 2 gallns of castrol gtx, it was in uber sale at 12$ each, it should be fine no?
    Are honda filter good?
  • Yeah whatever your using now will be fine too. I like to use OEM honda filters some say wix or an aftermarket filter its all up to you and how much you want to spend on oil changes.
