that actually looks really cool. not sure what the quality is like but damn that would be sexy looking
  • For some reason I recall a company a long time ago making the same thing.

Anyways nice find. Might have to now buy something else.
  • They are well made. They've been around for about 12-15 years now. Ryane Motorsports were the first to market them (if you look closely that's the name on the decals on the arms in the pictures). They were then marketed by another company that bought the business from Ryane (started with an H, but not HT like the link). About 2 years ago I started seeing them under the current name. I've seen them in person, and they're very well made, but they're quite expensive.
  • They are nice but I think with the Susp Tech drop forks, and LCA, and a fully dropped set of TEIN HA, I should have enough drop as it is. This might be a bit over the top for most of us wagon owners still a nice thing to consider.

Jaker you got an idea what these run? I dont' feel like calling from Germany to find out.
  • If I remember correctly, the fronts were around $1,000 and the rears around $6-700. I've always wanted to try a set, but have a hard time justifying the expense to just "try" them. Also, now with the RWD and the Wagon's longer RTAs, the rear arms are useless.

It's a sound theory though. It keeps the OEM geometry intact, and gives you a 1 1/2" drop. The only issue that could show it's ugly face is that people try to lower so much, the tire would rub inside the tops of the fenders.

  • THEY ARE DEF NOT WORTH IT AT THAT PRICE he said he might call...then later posted they are worth it so i hope to god they aren't a grand
  • 949949 Senior Wagonist
yes i did call. the owner says the part was not on the shelf for a long time. he is waiting for more materials to remake them. the price is gonna be much lower then 1k. he isnt completely sure how much but it will be worth the price.

he also told me that there is a local shop in socal that has a set he made for them. they plan on putting it in to a 4wd civic.
  • So you weren't given a price, but these are still worth it?
  • 949949 Senior Wagonist
no real price yet but it is less than 1k as stated in the earlier post.
i guess its because he has not found the other needed parts, thats why he doesnt know what the completed price is yet.

yes i believe its worth it, it does look like a great product.. if i had extra money i would get it.

here is a picture he sent me.

i have never seen anything like that before. has anyone on here used those on a wagon?
  • bump for some more info.... in the mean time im going to start saving up... I have dc2 spec coilovers and im maxed out on being lowered and im still way to high so this is my next option... will they work with awd???
  • 949949 Senior Wagonist
im not sure on the 4wd. the part isnt going to be available till later.
  • There should be no issues at all with the front spindles, as the RT4WD has the same spindles as the other EF models. The rear is a different story altogether.

Spoke to the guy today, he says that he has a couple of proto types out waiting to be track tested. When they get the results back he says that they will go from there for production and price. His name was eric. He also quoted to me that they would be around $400us dollars for a set of spindals and forks. He said that his spindals will be sold with his forks. He also said that it would be atleast the fist of next yr b4 they get any test results back.........
  • dope and for 400 i'd buy now!
  • maybe we can work out a group by with him (eric) i would be down...
  • these are just drop spindles for hondas ... all the road racing guys hate drop spindles because they kill performance . the change in leverage changes the vehicles dive characteristics
  • these are just drop spindles for hondas ... all the road racing guys hate drop spindles because they kill performance . the change in leverage changes the vehicles dive characteristics

Wouldn't it be better for road racing since your car would be lower and you would have more suspension travel???

I dont understand that, it dosent change anything besides ride height. The car will feel the same as stock height, and the alighnment will be factory. You can still have your droop for autocross. I would think these would be the way to go. Add whatever spring rate coilover sleeve you want and have a great handling car. I am down for a group buy when it happens
  • 91awd91awd Wagonist
Eric said the only thing this ettects is the ride height. He said his goal is to drop the car 1.5in and beable to use complete stock suspension, and he said that nothing will be effected by just adding this setup.....
  • yea dont get me wrong they are great for a DD ... hell put these on with the st pro arms and drop forks and you could have 3 inches of drop with stock springs and struts

Why not clarify what you meant with your prior post to help us understand? Just curious what you meant.

Well unfortunately you cant use them both together. I just purchased the ST kit, and the axle sits so close to the drop forks that if you add the front spindle the axle shaft would be where the strut is. So the fronts will not works with the two together. Now you could use the rear trailing arms and ST LCA's and get 3" of drop.
  • didnt think about that ... i havent even taken my st kit out of the box yet

Yeah, I was wanting to buy the drop spindles also and have a full 3" drop without any affect to the geometry. But after I installed my drop forks I noticed the clearance. Needless to say I was pretty bummed
