1986 Wagovan 1500-d16a6 swap??

whats up my fellow wagovaners?? yes i know this is my very first post on this site. but i am no noob to hondas. soo i bought a 1986 honda wagovan it is the 1500 series and a rod bearing went on it. simple fix. but the 1500 series is also carbuerated (sp??) i also have a d16a6 in my 91 civic hatch and i was thinkin about swappin it into my wagovan. so my question is will my d16a6 line up with the tranny on my 1500?? it is a 5speed with a SL gear when 4wd is engaged so technically a 6spd i know im obviously gonna have to swap my wiring harness and ecu in place as well. but will i have to modify the rear mount and the drivers side mount as well?? or will it be a direct swap in??

thanks for the help

    Will not bolt up.
  • I don't know if you are a member over on redpepperracing.com but you should ask them. Thats the place for 84-87 Civics. I used to have an 87 Si. A few years back they were messing with doing "modern" D series swaps by using the B series mount kit for that year of car.

You can use a browntop/blacktop D16A1, will bolt up to wagovan transmission if you chop off the top bolt location of the rear T bracket.
  • I have a CRX with that motor(EW1 carb'd) you need, sell it to you cheap if you are in the Seattle area.
