i'm in the market right now for a B16 cable tranny with LSD to put in my B18c1 GSR, my question is that what clutch do i need to put in there? Like from what car and year model? thanks!
  • marc-111marc-111 Wagonist
ANy help? Im about to pick up a J1 JDM B16 tranny? Got it real cheap, so from what car year or model will i use as a clutch for my B18c1 GSR?

I'm pretty sure you'll need to use the clutch and flywheel from the car that the transmission is out of. Let someone else confirm that though because i'm not exactly up with the play on B-series.

    YEP!
You will need to use the one from a 92-93 Integra LS cable trans. or 92-93 Teg GSR. but if you tell them you have a JDM cable B16, most will know the corect clutch to use.
Make sure you use the correct starter with the selected fly wheel. (JDM B16 flywheel will need the JDM starter, the US will need the US starter. the teeth are different)

i found out that i could used my ITR flywheel and GSR starter for the cable trans as for the clutch i'm using a 90-93 clutch for it

now all i need are my parts to arrive

Holy $&(^@#(@....good thing there's free health care in Canada. I wouldn't go anywhere near that car when you've got it jacked up like that.

There isn't much to post...I used a HASport OBD0 to OBD1 harness, subharness, and ecu adapter. I used an OBD1 LS intake manifold, injectors, and fuel rail. The throttle body is from the OBD2 B20, and the MAP sensor is the original firewall-mounted unit from the wagon.

When it comes to wiring, I'm a lazy and well-connected bastard.
  • marc-111marc-111 Wagonist
so you didnt do some splicing and connecting wires to your stock harness? hasport did all of it?
