Hose

So there is a hose going right off the exhaust manifold, and is routed up back into the intake plumbing. What is this hose for? It looks like its seen better days, couple spots are duct taped, and it could use different clamps as well.

Its an 86 1.5l carburated

    It's to help your car heat up faster... takes the exhaust's heat and pulls it to the where it can heat up the coolant. Mostly for the winter

    Thats what I figured it was for, what do I tell Lordco for a replacement, does it have a name?
  • If you find an older automotive employee you might get lucky and he will know what you are talking about. Haven't seen anything like that since driving around in a 1978 Pinto.

    Maybe if I take it off and bring it into a parts place they could match it up with something
