  • from what i have read on here, you would need rear lca's with the sway bar endlink mounts. won't work on the RT factory lca's.

so crx si or da lcas ?

No, that sway bar doesn't require any new rear lca's. It uses the same bolts the strut does. I just installed the exact same one on a 91 teg. The only thing I'm not sure about is clearance on the back of the rear diff. Other than that it will use all the factory bolts. Very nice sway bar too. Love the way it improved the tegs handling.

That's a good price too. I can't get them for less than about $200 shipped from my wholesaler.
  • You might have issues with the attachment of thr sway bar pivots brackets/bushings, as this kit uses the bolt holes for the lower control arm in addition to some OEM spots on the unibody that might not be there on the Wagon rear subframe. Remember, this kit is for Civic/CRX that has no bolt on rear subframe, only integral parts of the unibody.

You might be better off with the Suspension Techniques sway bar kits that use the tow hook mounts to hold these same brackets. I'm pretty sure there are a few people here that have used that sway bar kit on their Wagon.
  • I learn something new everytime I check the forums.

Thanks for chiming in to my answer guys!!

    interersted to see this attached.

can you take step by step install pics when you do this?
  • stampernstampern Senior Wagonist
I'm checking to see if I can get a picture of this. I installed it about a month ago. I just looked at Shenrie's wagon (he supposedly had a progess sway bar on his, but it looks different). But from the underside pic of his car I don't see any reason why this wouldn't work on a wagon. I don't see any issues that you should have with clearance. I'll get a pic as soon as i can.

Here is the pic of the sway bar -

Okay, I hope that it will work on my 2wd wagon with ebay LCA's. I just pm'd the seller.
  • I'm saying I don't think it will fit. Compare this pic of the Wagon rear subframe (the 2wd and 4wd are the same when it comes to the area where the LCA attaches) to the one above to see if you think those brackets will bolt up:

Right, I see what you mean. So I guess my best bet to get a rear sway is to either attempt to DIY it or buy the suspension techniques sway bar that anchors onto the tow hook location?
  • Yes, that is my suggestion.
  • stampernstampern Senior Wagonist
Ya, I was under my wagon today and there is no way that sway bar will work on the 4wd wagon. It should on the 2wd though.
  • The 2WD subframe is identical to the 4WD one other than the attachment point for the rear stabilizer for the diff.

so will the suspension techniques sway thats for non oem sway civic/crx bolt onto the 4wd? with 4wd setup still?

Don't know for sure, but I will sometime in the next while. I'll be doing it on my build. I think the ST bar stands the best chance of fitting, as it's most like the OEM setup as far as bar placement and attachment points.

i think imight jsut order one and pray it fits , the one for the non existingsway should bolt up im thinking also because its supposed to bolt onto the tow hook area right?
im about to just weld a bar from side to side and win.

I found that a factory Acura Integra rear sway bar complete with frame drop brackets bolts right onto the wagon.

So all you would need for the above sway bar is the acura drop brackets ... the bushings should fit inside the normal round brackets and use the end links from the kit.
