both of the assemblies on hand looked like this, yuck. The inside of the tanks did, too! Here's the new Walbro setup
Luckily I have 4 tanks to choose from. This is the one from lil' ghost/pebbles old blue waggy. I gave the pump to a friend in need awhile back, but the tank is nice inside
That's just surface oxidation- it's been sitting around open for awhile.
Decided against this crusty gauge sender as well.
ready to install tank- it has to go in before the rear diff I think
You have to cut the OE ones apart and clean ALL the rubber from the shells and the shafts. Of course the first one took hours, the second about 45 minutes.
Air body recip saw with some grease on the blade worked for us.
Wouldn't it have been easier and way more fun to just burn it out? . That's what I usually do with bushings lol. Or is burning them out of the question?
Get a measure to the top center of the rear wheel well.. it shouldn't change too much with the front down & I measure mines stock height... Looks like you got more than 6..

Currently on 205/60/15 it's 32 1/4 to center of the rear arch.
Poll of 4 other stock wagons here averages 24" (23-25, depending on load )
My DD wagon lifted slightly on 205/60/15 is 26 1/4

I want a vanity plate that says PYRITE

Here's Dad whittling on the RTA bushings
Got 'em ready to install, too
$40 shipped, but they're a big PITA. If I had it to do again, I'd buy the preassembled ones for $95.

Super bummer!!! I'll have my buddy at horsepowerfreaks order me a set tomorrow! My suspension might actually be back under the wagon next week.
Ha! I'm grinnin' like a mule eatin' briars!
It worked!
^^That's fully extended, with the wheels juuuust touching the ground. Axles still have some end play
Now sitting on the suspension
Got some positive camber, and haven't set toe at all yet, but looks good. Now that's some wheel gap!
Dad says I can fit a 30" tire easy
u gotta call it Scooby Doo
You did that fast...
You just want to barrow my suspension spacers and make it a little higher? I should be able to fit them in a flat rate USPS box..
Put the ass down on the ground and give us a measure on the stock RT wheels.. I gotta know how high it is...
You need a new users name.. BAM-ITS-DONE
(I mean the 37+ in the post your measurement thread. That was with the front sitting on the ground, no drivetrain. )
Yeah, send the spacers, I need 'em for the front. I'll have a machinist buddy copy 'em.
I don't think I want any more in the rear. Everything goes back together well, axles are still ok.
The only actual modification to the suspension is that I moved the spring perches down 2". Same as adding a 2" spacer.
And No tires and No suspension spacers..
So, you want me to send you just 1 spacer or 2?? I can do this on Monday..
What does your dad think? Thinks your losing it, right?
so, what was the starting measurement? what is the overall lift? did you get a full 6 or more?
ummm...idk. didn't measure "before". but yes, at least 6"
You did it.
I really need to come over now.

I took some pics, but have mislaid the camera
