    5 step program

    Step 1 fab bumper
Step 2 wash front of wagon
    Step 3 mount bumper
    Step 4 mount roof rack
Step 5 take a test drive

After these simple steps, new bumper and roof rack will be mounted and bams proven test drive technique will have new and existing parts "mud blended" in time for IA

Well, last night I pulled the header and rewelded the collector. Hope it holds.

Today I worked on installing the Xterra receiver hitch. No pics loaded yet...

    Oh, no! Castration!

Got the receiver test-mounted. I need to get some flat steel and some longer bolts to finish.

That Xtera hitch looks like it works pretty good.
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
We'll MAKE it work! I like the way it mimics the shape of the rear suspension crossmember.

Got my adjustable UCAs from Circle Track Imports. Thanks, guys.
    These things are massive!

got them installed, rotated the tires around, and eyeball-adjusted the camber. Also replaced the right front axle (again lol). Topped off the trans oil. Will go get on the alignment rack tomorrow after work.

    How did she do towing?
  • rbwdrivenrbwdriven Senior Wagonist
Your body lines don't match up anymore.
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
She hauled the freight ok, but the rear suspension is way too soft for that much tongue weight.

RBW, you're right. Hmm, need a taller camper...

will goldie pull that without an issue?

Can she do it??? Did you try it already...

    Um... Where's the Roof Rack?
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
Come to IA and see. The camper only weighs 1000 pounds. Less than the wagocamper.

Which rack, Goldie's? I stole the bars for vacation duty. I'm looking for some used 66" bars before i re-fit the basket so I can put bike trays outboard.
  • DRMORTYDRMORTY Council Member
I am trying to work something out for it..
  • DRMORTYDRMORTY Council Member
You need to put a rack on the New Camper
  • rbwdrivenrbwdriven Senior Wagonist
could put the rack on the back of the new camper, less drag.
  • DRMORTYDRMORTY Council Member
Did you limo tint the new camper?
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
Yes, bike rack will be on the trailer's bumper. No loads on fiberglass roof shell.

No tint, stripped off the old purpled stuff. This one is going full '70s retro.
  • 3rd4ce3rd4ce Council Member
So this bike rack ... Will it hold the bike I'm thinking it will hold ..?
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
No, not like that. Too heavy. Just a couple of bicycles.

Mine has been known to haul a canoe a time or two ;)

Well, the camper didn't make it to IA like I had planned. Still working on that one...

    Just a few recent shots:

funny, while I was taking a picture this girl pulled up in a hatch. I offered to help, thinking she broke down. Turns out she just had a bee in the car!

    Bam..

No words can describe how cool that wagon really is..

Seeing it evolve from ground up, then getting to take it for a spin and seeing it in action...

If I had hit the Powerball, I would have be having you make me one too..
