Ended up with two really nice passenger seats, I'll be able to build a good driver's seat.
Also picked up some goody from our chemical supplier at work
Its gotta be nice knowing you have the tallest ALL honda civic wagon to date. Not just a wagon stuck up on a toyota frame (which i'm not too against if my tranny blows or something major btw...)
Today I drove it around some, changed the oil, changed the sparkplugs to colder ones, replaced the squeaking sc belt, did some ecu wiring, washed 'er up, etc.etc. Drove it with the rear disengaged and couldn't keep traction!
Didn't get it loaded up until 11pm, but I'll get some pics tomorrow of the big'un on the dolly behind cnote. Classic bamtech.
it would look proper parked next to tracked wagon for sure what a show stopper he is. last year at the track i was parked next to him.... my car and I might as well have been ghosts. curious what the mpgs are gunna be....
Made 151 hp, 128 tq. The water injection didn't work much, didn't affect the IATs as desired, so those numbers are without. We'll have to revisit the tuner after I play with that some.
And for those who say there's no mileage difference with the rear disengaged- you're entitled to be wrong. I've driven both ways, and there's an obvious difference in the energy needed to accelerate.
And in bad news: I've already fragged an axle.. the right front inner CV is toasted. You can hear it clicking in that 4wd clip. I hope it's just the cheapo reman axle, but might mean bigger trouble. we'll see...
Thanks. It's a hoot to drive. I hope it doesn't have to be lowered to keep from eating CV joints.
I got a care package from Morty. Thanks!
As this toy is being born, I sold another one Saturday
I've had this SeaRay since 1999. I guess one boat is enough for a poor man!
Current engine pic
Last night I removed the right front axle for exchange and swapped out the disc pad hardware.
Also replaced rear wheel cylinders and didassembled rear suspension again. Time to lift it a bit more and install poly bushings.

after IA in Charlotte. Until then I'm still building.
Can't wait to meet up again at AI, Charlotte!
Washed her up (with soap!) for the first time in the year and a half I've had her
Spent Friday evening tying up loose ends and getting ready for the dyno. Finally loaded up at 11pm.
Coffee stop Saturday morning
And strapped down

We did all the pulls but the last one in 2wd. Then I locked it in to compare. TEN less hp in 4wd, and took muuuch longer to accelerate.

Funny how the shell appears even bigger
Annnd... new wallpaper!
Can you post a picture of your engine bay now that it's running?
Um.. Not even close...
He could just use distilled water..
but yeah those huge ass tires will probably have an affect on the amount of torque applied to the ground.
No filters yet.
