Pro is right. Have to keep a bracket and swap it on to the z6. Just dont remember which one. Should be good to go. You are right inside pics dont do it any justice. It really looks like a beast. What are your plans for the exhaust?

I plan to run true dual exhausts. I have a cheapo header to modify, what I want is 1.5 inch duals.

Awesome, I know you still have work to do but, how far off til you think its running? Within the month or longer? Of course if theres no major issues.

Ordered tires and wheels today :D

Here I'm using the spare from my Suburban to check fit- this is actual size

    479.jpg

and a touch over 4 inches taller than the stocker

    480.jpg

Of course this isn't bolted up, but it's within a half-inch of where the real deal will end up

    481.jpg

    same tire @ rear

    482.jpg

    ...and here's some random weirdness:

    483.jpg

4 bullet holes in the driver's footwell
  • ^That's awesome!

    Needs more FLARES! lol

I can't wait to see this thing moving under its own power!

Oh boy just having truck tires as mock up makes it look even better. One thing I was thinking that would make people do a double take is this rolling with the camper. Complete greatness. More please.

...to let the blood run out!

@Pro: flares are coming, believe it.
  • You going budget flares, or ballin with the BushWackers?!
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
    What's a bushwacker?

I plan to use rubber universal flares from an R-model Mack. Just rivet-on stuff
  • slo88crxslo88crx Senior Wagonist
    Looking better and better everyday!
  • bushwackers are the rubber/plastic ones that just bolt onto the fenders
  • Looks like i'm going to have to get some bigger tires to keep up
  • shenrieshenrie Council Member
rad, just rad man. nice freaking work!

I knew you'd know that, lol - every other rig hand has them on their damn trucks!

But yeah, they're the ones you see with the "bolt holes" in them that stick out about 4" on all the lifted trucks - I know they aren't cheap. I've never looked into getting a set, but a guy I know paid like $200 something for a set I think (more than I'd ever pay, especially since I'm not a fan of them).
  • They look good on jeeps. I think they might not look too bad on a wagon haha

Kory did you see the guy on 605 that put those on his accord thats slammed with xxr's on it? I think it might have been zach actually. if he sees this he will probably say something
  • Lol, that car HAD to have something - and on that it looks cool, because its unique.
  • bam-bambam-bam Council Member
Well, tires are here, but wait on Diamond racing wheels is 2 weeks.

    Got plenty to do, though.
  • Check out factory jeep wrangler tj flairs, they have 2" and 4" factory ones. they bolt on and you could heat gun then for molding purpose. also cheap at a salvage yard.

On the passenger front hows the travel? in the pic it looks like the tire might hit the back. weird angel i think

    This thing is killer.
  • Even the older XJ flares, but they're more :square" shaped. I would think you'd want something like a Ford Ranger, something smaller with round wheel wells. However, I don't know any rangers that come with flares stock - but then again I'm not over on "Ranger-Tech" either, lol.
