    clean ride wago....keep it up
  • on your dvd player if you ground the e-brake wire to the body you then can drive and watch a dvd. great install

Why exactly would someone want to drive and watch a movie at the same time? Sounds to me like an accident waiting to happen.

The weather let up finally so I got the rides out and gave them a wash and wax. I really should sell one, 4 cars for two people is toooooo much. Only three shown the 4th is a Nissan Pickup going through rust proofing and a repaint (ugly but for 300 bucks and RUNS GREAT).

Enjoy even though you have seen them all before.

damn that has a ton of cool features in it. the cargo bay and console and wutever....very nice. makes me want to go and buy a wagon from the EU... 8)
yy, cargo bay... its very fine BUT I hate the f***ing sounds of creaky plastics.... :? :? :? I have the same outfit...
  • I don't have any problems with mine. No creaking whatsoever. It does help to have a banging system in it though. 8)
  • Well I got back from Oki with a couple of stupid parts. Yeah I call them stupid because it is the usual dumb stuff that people pay too much damn money for stateside. The license plate holders were 10, and 15 bucks. The bumper pole 14 bucks, and the wheel was 75. The other stuff is just a cup holder and some floor LED's that you can adjust up or down with the dial. YEAH STUPID STUFF!!!!

I looked and looked and looked and no Shuttle/Beagle parts anywhere. I went to some pretty big yards but they only dealt with the high power cars. One shop I went to had probably 60 turbos thrown on a shelf, 10 skylines stacked on top of each other, 180sx's stacked up, rx7's, well you get the idea. I asked them for Honda parts and they laughed. Well here are a couple of pics for you.

    46.jpg

Yeah it is on the "RIGHT" side of my wagon. It is supposed to go on the Left side but this way my wife can use it instead of it just being a part that I can say is "JDM." Now it is JDM and she can use it for parking.

I saw this driving and it had the "Y" plates which meant it was owned by a military member. Saw two of them and I had to scramble to get my camera ready for this one.

Nice score with the accessories! The pole looks great. Does your wife usually curb her wheels?

    damnnnnn i want a beagleeeeee
  • No my wife can park okay going forward it is backing up she has a problem with. You know back up till you hit something then look. She hasn't ate up a set of my rims yet but I am waiting. One reason I didn't bring back about 8 sets of rims from Okinawa. She actually wanted me to stick this thing on the back of the car    but I will be putting in back up sensors for that.
  • 42.jpg

It is okay if you are mad that I got one and you don't HA HA JUST KIDDING

I asked a friend of mine while I was in Okinawa to see what he could do about getting one and a few weeks later he took this off a friends car. PIAA lights included.

Hopefully it will be here in the next couple of weeks and I can post pics of it on the car.
  • Lovely addition to your wagon :D But yes I am jealous :? , can't wait to see the pics and here about the install.

    Cheers
  • ThatDoodleThatDoodle Council Member
Oh Yea! I can't wait to see your car with this on. You will be the 1st HCW member with one. Its going to look F***ing awesome because of the way you style your cars. Very original.

I'm mad  , j/k nice score. Lotta nice stuff here...damn I thought you were kiddin when you said you drove to Okinawa or were you hmmm :?:
  • Nope I wasn't kidding. I am half Japanese/Okinawan so I have family there. My parents also just bought some land so hopefully the vacation home will be done in the next couple of years so I can make some more trips there. I also have a friend there who works with the military so I get free shipping from base to base which is great when I need some parts like a BEAGLE BULL BAR!!!!!!! Plus you guys really don't want to know what I paid because then you will be really really upset. HA HA

I will post pics when it comes in and am thinking of mounting some 205/55/15 snow tires on some BMW mesh wheels and raising the car back up to ALMOST stock height for the winter. With the BULL BAR and the snow tires my wife should have no problems running into stuff :?

Do you realsie how much that is a license to print money ?
The JDM scene in Europe is small but growing faster. I've been talking to a few guys about it on my recent trip around.
  • If your friends or whoever is buying JDM parts to put on their EDM cars they are wasting their money. I had a 1990 Civic SIR here in Germany which was LHD but was considered J-spec. Even the vin on this car said JDM but still LHD. So if you want to spend the money on JDM parts to put on your EDM car go ahead because more than likely you will be buying the same part that is already on your car. This is why every CRX in Germany has a DOHC ZC. This is why I can go out and buy any Type-R I want, even the sweet a@# Accord Type-R. I can't buy the high end skylines, or twin turbo rx7s but you get the idea. Do your research on the car you are going to be buying parts for before you buy because you just might be buying the same part.

Most of us using the military postal system still pay the postage. This is the only way to insure your parts. Free mail is just that FREE no extra services. I have had two sets of rims stolen from the mail with no way to recover my money. Everything after that has been paid for with insurance. Little stuff with not a lot of value gets shipped for free anything else gets normal postage. So more than likely the Beagle Bull bar will cost me a good chunk of change to ship because I don't want it to end up on Ebay in some other part of the world because some jack ass thought it in his best interest to take my sh%$.

I HAVE CONFIRMATION THAT MY BAR IS ON ITS WAY!!!!!!!!

lucky. i think imma make my own bullbar this weekend :P
  • akiraboyakiraboy HondaCivicWagon.com Founder
    my jealousy is ragin
  • The roof rack is a combination of two different ones I scored for free. The cross bars are universal from Thule. The two bike holders are from Mondial. These were drilled and bolted into the thule bars. These allow me to bolt the front fork of the bike down instead of strapping my wheels down which I prefer.

I'm English mate. I live in England. Land of RHD.
We get a LOT of JDM grey import cars and I've been a full on JDM whore in the past for some rather rare and unique parts for the EF's.
There is a lot of JDM stuff which differs quite a lot from the EDM stuff. It doesn't help that the HT fanboys added anything which was EDM in origin or just plain RHD to the JDM must have list.

There is a lot of UK source stuff on cars in the USA as JDM purely because it's RHD. I should know, I've sold a lot of it! They don't care, it's as you say, the same parts.

These guys I talk about are in Slovenia and southern parts of Germany. They are crazy enough to want to be fitting 96 spec DC2 front end to their cars. That's a JDM only part or EK9 trim which is the same deal. Even EDM and JDM EF's differ in many ways. I've owned several from both countries.
Hey, it's their funeral when they can see where they are going cos they have RHD lights.
    Style over function

You'll find that not every crx in Germany is a D16A9 engine. They got the B16A1 stock too like most of the rest of Europe.

Still, shipping parts paid for post from Japan to Germany you must get some sort of price advantage over the normal post as a concession for being home away from home ?

I own a set of the RG suspension.. they are on my rhd itr.. :)

I think I just finalized this deal with my buddy in Japan.

TEIN HA's for a CRX. What do you guys think. I will be hooking him up with cash on Monday hopefully. 530 bucks. Does this sound pretty good?? He said they have about 6000kms on them.

    58.jpg

I could have bought these also but a little on the expensive side. Couple of months old and cost over $2000 new. These are race coilovers. Freaking sweet. He wanted $1500.

  • I have a friend working with the military over there in Japan so we help each other out when we can. If you have an ID card shipping is just like it would be stateside. Shipping say from Texas to me would end in New york. From New York to me the Govt pays so I don't have to pay international shipping. So it is a pretty good deal.

sorry, i meant to say. where can i score the stock roof rack.
  • Well I could have gotten you one from the white wagon I was stripping. You could have put in a request but the wagon has been crushed. Ask Goelette and see if he can get you one. He has a couple of parts wagons and he might be able to help you out with that.

    :?: :?: :?: :?:
  • Well it has finally arrived. I received it and immediately noticed the pitting on the aluminum. So I took some 1000 grit sanded it and polised to give it a more brushed aluminum look. Yes this thing is very very light as it is all aluminum.

    BUT

This thing is not a bolt on to any other wagon except a Beagle. I lined it all up, took all the plastic covering off the bottom of the car, and noticed there are no brackets there to hold this thing on. I figured it would mount into some existing holes or at least be able to drill some holes in the car somewhere. This is not the case as it seems the Beagle has some other brackets to mount this thing too. So I will be heading out tomorrow to get some metal to make my own brackets with.

I definately think this bar will look much much better with the car raised up some more. Plus as you can see it hangs quite a bit lower so raising the car up will be a must.

Here is a teaser pic for you guys.
