I am not way into the scene just like having some decent stuff in the car and not just throwing it in the car. The wagon is a great platform though. Some custom stuff has to be made to make the larger speakers work considering how small the stock ones are. I have one ten and it rattles my eyeballs. Oh well. Thanks again for the compliments.
The headlights have if I remember correctly small motors where the headlight adjustments are. So in the wagon there is the switch from 0-3. At night if you park the car up against a wall you can move the switch and watch the headlight beam move up and down. It helps when you have people or weight in the back so you can adjust the headlights down or up as you need them.
Cool !!
My VERY FIRST CAR, a 1987 Lada Signet wagon had a similar set-up but it was cable-operated. I could twist a knob and the headlights would raise or lower, according to the direction I twisted the knob.
I had to use this feature once when I had a load of wooden floor slats in the back of the car, which raised the front of the car and was causing oncoming traffic to flash their high beams thinking I had mine on by mistake.
My car also had wipers on the headlights which would work only when I pulled on the wiper control arm to activate the water pump for the windshield wipers.
Funny thing though, my Lada did not have a cigarette lighter, despite having an ashtray. It also did not come with a radio. I had to custom install a radio and speakers in the center console. This was 1987 remember, so no CD or MP3 player... just a push-button AM/FM radio... and no cassette player.
That is a 6.5 inch speaker with a good size magnet stuck to it. For JVC's they sound pretty good.
Got my new 215/40/16's today. Can't wait to get some good tires on this thing finally. Hopefully I will be able to change the rear shock bushings so I can finally get the rear teins on. Bolt is rusted into the shaft in the bushing and it won't come out.
Will post some more pics as soon as the WHOLE wagon is slammed.
I was planning on one being the "nice" one, and one being the "work" car. They kind of both ended up being "nice" ones. I ended up buying a beater truck for 300 bucks so I could beat that up instead of my wagons. The white one has some bad cancer under the lower side moldings and in the rear fender wells. I luckily found replacement metal fender wells and will be having my friend cut and weld the new metal on the car one of these days.
Well it has been awhile since I have done anything to the wagon. I have only really put in a new pioneer sub, fogs and relocated the license plate. We have finally bought a new home and it has taken all my time. I finally decided to get the wife's wagon out and wash it up and wax it. The fog here is nasty sometimes so it got a nice new set of Pilot Fogs. This summer it finally should get the motor swap. Don't know which motor or if I should go Supercharger or Turbo with it. The wife wants more power to go up these hills and hit the hairpin turns she has on her way to work. Well here are some pics of the Wagons new home.
Don't be to harsh on the wheels. They were free as were 3 of the 4 brand new snow tires. In the next month or so it will get some new shoes.
Which motor HMMMMMM??????? Got the ZC for 200 bucks and the SOHC VTEC for 60 bucks
The wife's new night vision
Sorry it isn't anything fancy but hopefully this summer things will get kicked off the right way on the wagon. Just love the wagon so much it needs to have some pictures taken.
Thanks you three. My wife and I LOVE the wagon. It will be around for a long time and hopefully this summer it will get the attention it needs. Still deciding on which motor to drop in to start rebuilding one or the other. I am going more towards the ZC but we will see what happens.
My wife just bought these for me. Should be here in a few days. What do you guys think?? 15x7 et30 with 195/45/15 tires, and they are 2pc. Got them for 120 bucks.
yeah they are old school German wheels. My wife is the only driver of the wagon right now and she gets more speeding tickets then I do. This might help with that
I can't wait to get them cleaned up and on her car soon. I plan on dumping the wagon some more. She has two more inches of drop on her Teins so we will see what that is going to look like.
I could have bought these also but a little on the expensive side. Couple of months old and cost over $2000 new. These are race coilovers. Freaking sweet. He wanted $1500.
wow i have those on my dc2 i just got from japan  didnt realise how expensive they are!
Well after fighting with the guy I bought the wheels from to freaking ship them I finally got them in. Here you go. I like the way they look athough the tires are a little thin. I think I am going to get the wife some 55's instead of the 45's that came on them because to make them look decent on the car I had to drop the car another inch. There is about one inch left on the Teins but the mud flaps are already scraping.
