Could I get a HUGE favor and have you measure the dimensions of the shroud of the EVO cooling fan on the pickup? I need a good pusher system for my wagon to free up some space on the engine side. and what year/model is it from? Thank you in advance
Sorry about the delay. It wasn't a pusher until I reversed the wiring on it, but I will try and get out and get you some measurements.
As for the exhaust, I built it, but have yet to have the wagon running so the sound is yet to be heard but I really can't wait to hear it fire up. Some health issues in the family have kept my time out in the garage to a minimum. Hoping to get back on the wagon soon.
Did you put the a/c back on the zc? I have the chance to get a dohc zc and I already have a few jrsc's laying around. How did you have to mod he ps bracket? Did u have any clearance issues with the brake master cylinder?
Euro wagons didn't get A/C stock, it was an option which mine didn't come with so A/C wasn't an issue.
Also remember that unless you had the JRSC "MADE" for the DOHC ZC you will need to run an adapter. I was luckily enough to find one when I was contemplating doing this setup but they have been discontinued.
Next thing you will need to know is that the JRSC + adapter + DOHC ZC will require a custom belt. You will not find one from JRSC in the right length so I went to summit racing and bought a 6 rib one for a V8 and carefully cut it in two, which gave me the correct 3 rib belt, plus a spare. This combination will also give you problems with the belt hitting the frame.
With the power steering bracket I hacked most of it up and only kept what was necessary. This also required cutting up the timing belt cover. If I were to do this again I would probably just remove the power steering all together as the lines are now a bit short, but it all bolts up now. However the other problem you will run into (unless this is an EDM issue) is that the power steering pump pulley is a v-belt and the JRSC crank pulley requires a 3 rib belt. I am going to try and swap a pulley to see if I can make it work, if not I am probably just going to remove all the power steering components.
The master cylinder is very close but I don't think I will have any issues. Once I get the wagon back in the main garage I will be fabbing up some type of shield just in case but I don't think I will have any problems.
It is moss motors you have to go to. They bought Jackson racing and still support the super chargers. I had to get a few things already and they are expensive on what they have left.
Hate to ask, but are you sure you had to notch for the alternator? I talked to Matt from ZCSpeed and he said that you don't have to notch. Your alternator shouldn't stick out any farther than normal.
What pulley did you use?
need to c notch the rear end of that bag set and lay some frame
It is notched but I have to hide the notch due to inspection. There is a piece of high impact plastic that has been molded to fit making it look like a splash guard of sorts. No frame modifications are allowed here. I am considering doing a stronger C-Notch with some nice framing metal, then the crap summit racing c-notches that are on there right now.

I didn't notch for the alternator, I notched for the belt. I dropped the motor in and figured everything was good, was just waiting for the belt to come in. Went to install the belt and sure enough it hit the frame. I can't see why mine is different but I can guarantee mine required a notch.

I am not sure if this problem is specific to me, but I couldn't find any info on this particular issue, but it was a pretty easy fix. If you do this PM me when you are ready and I can give you the belt length I used, I don't know it off hand but can get you the info if you need it.
Just a note: I've been looking at ZCPower_R's wagon for reference (jrsc on a d16a6) and his belt is barely rubbing the frame apron. No notch there, but even with the a6 it's close enough to polish the paint off the metal.

I also looked at others, even found a couple of pics with the same setup in a CRX but nothing about the belt rubbing either. Trust me I tried to find some information on this but found zero just to make sure I hadn't installed something incorrectly. I can only assume that the dohc zc head, and the adapter plate caused my problem. Even if the head isn't an issue, if the D16a6 with a JRSC is close already, then the plate is going to push it back even more. I would guess a little hammer action would have been enough but I wanted enough clearance for movement as well, hence why I just went ahead an notched it.
not alot of people know this but the ZC Dohc uses the B16,17 and C5"itr" intake manifold . only reason i know this is i built a dohc a while back and when i was putting it back together i grabbed my B16 intake by mistake and it bolted up went to go get the throttle body to bolt it on and i looked over and it was my zc intake under the table lol .. so you can use the B16 super charger as well and i believe they still make those .
Been a long time everyone. I still own this wagon but it has been sitting now for years. Been about 5 years now that she has sat. Was supposed to be a routine tune up with timing belts, head gaskets, clutch but then I got the original Wagon Attack turbo setup, then I ran across a cheap DohcZC, then a JRSC, then the ZC adapter and everything seemed to be falling into place for a bad ass wagon. Then my wife was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and priorities completely changed and the wagon went into storage. Multiple surgeries, a couple of miscarriages, changed our lives and the wagon was sort of forgotten. 2014 finally blessed us with our miracle child and on Valentine's Day we had a little boy. After my little man came I decided to finish up another project. My 1990 Chevy C1500 had a tired old 5.7 TBI small block and I happened upon a 5.3 LS1 for 300 bucks. I basically got a complete 2001 suburban for the 300 bucks. So my C1500 now sports a freshly built 5.3 LS1 tuned to a healthy 350hp! After finally completing a project after years of not wanting to do anything it was time to swap the AE86 with the Wagon and hope that 2015 brings a finished wagon or at least some progress.
Sorry for the long read folks but there are a lot of old members who know me or at least know my little wagon and figured a little backstory on why the wagon has all but disappeared off the pages of civicwagon might be in order.
My 5.3 LS1
The old wagon being gone over after years of neglect!
Congrats on your new addition! Im glad you have persevered through life's struggles, and your family is doing well. Also glad you still have the wagon, despite the setbacks. Looking forward to how it turns out.

I'm not too computer savvy, my search sent me to Moss Motors, kind of a deadend.
Thanks.

Good to know..
Hum? Maybe sledge time... Just a little...
Did you have a Clearance issue with the SC Main Pulley and the Master Cylinder? Are you using stock mounts?

Now excuse me, I got 28 pages to read.
Not much to see Vladi, just a little red wagon with a lot of different wheels on it Just been around awhile that's all.
