there is half my wheel pile.

    Old school MOMO'S! DO WANT!
  • There are no Momo's in that pic. In that pic they are ATS Classics, Advans, Siegs, Ronal Posterts (turbos), Borbets, and Kakimotos.

did you tried the Ronal turbo on the wagon? Pics?
    Same question for the ATS?

    Thanks
  • The Ronal Posterts are 4x114 but I have put them on the wagon with the adapters I have. The ATS classics I have also installed but those are 13's.

    I want those Borbet's!!! :)
  • I can get you some, I sold mine a few months ago, along with the ATS classics. Starting to thin out the collection as I might have to come back to the US for a year and don't want all this crap sitting around for my wife to worry about while I am gone.
  • So since the weather sucked today (usually does anyways) I got some more work done on the wagon. Want to get the exhaust finished up so I can lower this thing back down and start finishing up the motor. Bought two dynomax mufflers (highly doubt they will do sh@# for the noise) and almost have the main section done just some more welding to do to finish up the bends. Will start on the other side next week.

Hrm...I might have to take you up on that. :) Do they need adapters? ET?

Mine were 16x7.5 with a 10-20 ET (can't remember the exact number). If you look back through my thread there is a pic with them on. They will sit pretty flush and would need the fenders rolled and a slight stretch on the tires. No adapters needed as they are 4x100. I can get all the way up to 16x9 but they get pricey at those sizes.
  • Just tacked together right now. Going to finish up the welding, got to powder coat the mufflers (not stainless, the rest of the exhaust and tips are stainless), make the hangers and I should be able to finish up the motor soon. It isn't sitting quite level yet but it is only hanging by some wire right now.

Thanks, it has been a lot of work. Trying to get the exact bends, mufflers level with each other, without good tools to do so is time consuming. It is almost there though.

Thats only part of them collection  but many of the others are in the process of me refinishing them to make them picture worthy.
  • lookin good keep it up !
  • like to see some pics of that exhaust when its on the ground. i dont think ive ever seen duels on a wagon. how loud is it? nice work so far.
  • this build is awesome, thought about doing some fender flares with some diamond racing steelies or sportmax's. those are awesome and just lovin' the whole thing haha. great car you got there
  • Hangers all made and exhaust hanging on its own now. Thinking the mufflers need to be more towards the outside though.

Also figured out the rear fender flares and how I was going to finish them up. Cut the ends off and used the original bumper to make it look a bit more stock looking.

  • nice job on the rear flares. that really makes the back end flow nicely.

rage. really really love your whole build. always saw yours while i was searching google for widened steelies and widened wheels in general. just never knew what tires you were running and now i know and see why you had to do such a big flare. i went opposite way. i wanted the biggest stretch i could get and les schwab tire center could only get me 175/50/16s. but if i had the money in hand i was gonna get 165/45 from a site i found that has the nankangs that are out of production... did want to do 10 wide but just wasnt sure on backspace and diamond wheels didnt have a 9 inch barrel in the D style wheel so yup just played safe on the 8 inch... but thanks for a great build thread
  • Back from the depths of the members ride section. Thanks for the bump and the compliments. It has finally gotten pulled back in the garage after sitting outside in the snow for the last couple of months. Got a new belt (took forever to find the right length since they do not make a 3 rib at the length I needed). So that was really the last thing I needed to try and get this thing running. Started to wire it back up and of course running into a few minor wiring issues with that as well. Still needs a new radiator but other than that I should have everything to hopefully get it fired up soon (barring that there is nothing seriously wrong with this thing).
  • if you dont mind me askin when you say wrapped you yo mean vinyl wrap

I have that high temp wrap I am going to wrap the downpipe with since it sits so close to the oil pan.

Pic I took today of the new project (1990 C1500 Sport, lots of money dumped into this thing already), and the really long project underneath.
