Messed with some Prelude seats I took out of my Jspec prelude before I junked it. The seats aren't perfect but feel better than the stock ones. Should be fully mounted tomorrow.
Still need a bit of adjustment and one more hole drilled to be completely mounted. Adapters I made aren't the prettiest but they are super strong and allowed me to not mess up any of the rails, just in case I need to go back to stock. Powdercoated them super jet black.
seats look comfy.... i like that arm rest you got going on thar...
Thanks, and the armrest is a bit worn now. I will have to make a new one soon. Seats are definitely an upgrade to the stock ones. My stock ones were mint though so all the seats are being taken out, wrapped up in plastic sealed and stored away to keep them that way. Better to mess up some JDM junk then my stockers.
I love those seats. I'm a big guy, and they're the best stock seats I've found so far. I looked a bunch for those seats, to put into my hatch. My local yard had some 88/91 Prelude seats I almost picked up the last time I was there. But I decided to hold out for brown seats.
If you take the seats out for some reason, take a pic. I'd love to steal your design just in case
If you want I can probably scrounge up some more metal and make you a set. Got to work out one more bolt issue then they will be done. These are by far better than stock seats.
Please bare with the crappy cell phone pics. The only thing I had that I didn't mind getting dirty greasy hands all over.
I know there is probably nobody going to do this combination in there wagon but if anybody does you will have some definite clearance issues when trying to install a DOHC ZC, with a JRSC, and the adapter plate (DOHC to SOHC intake adapter). You will also need a custom belt (which I have yet to find) because the additional space created by the adapter doesn't allow the normal JRSC belt to fit. I will be going to the parts store next week hoping they can get me something close.
Here is the part where I had to cut into the frame to make room for the pulley and the belt.
Here is the pic with the motor finally locked down in place. Stock power steering pump has been fitted to a modified stock power steering pump bracket but some lines will have to be run different.
i might have missed it but what header are you using?
The one you see in the pic is a 4-2-1 for a D16 but it has some serious clearance issues (which I already knew about). It is going to get hacked up and made to fit though.
i just read all 20 pages of this and WOW honestly an amazing build of your wagon and other amazing cars, one of the best thought out wheel collections ive ever seen, and still having fun with all of it. keep it up i wish i could do what you're doing
It could have been much better with no kinks but a few errors after hacking up a cheap manifold.
So as some of you know a 4-2-1 header will not fit on a RT. So I bought one from a member here a long time ago and tried it out. It is WAY off. So I have shortened the second piece of the manifold (2-1 part cut out the straight section and just rewelded), and cut off the smaller diameter pipe at the joint, added a 2.5 stainless pipe, and added a 3 bolt stainless flange. The 2.5 was put in a vise to make it oval then slid it over the joint and welded. Here is the finished product. It is very tight in the space given but it will be heat wrapped.

Think I will pass

Here is a better pic of what is going on.
Glad to see "moderator" support.
they look old, but it's better with a swap

You will have to find one elsewhere, I don't do parts requests.

Here it is mated to a high flow stainless cat.
What are you trying to say Jaker Yeah once it is wrapped you won't see the shoddy welding and fab skills
Thanks everyone. Hoping to get the rest of the exhaust done this weekend. Dual exhausts anyone
