hey reganasian, im in the US and would love to have one of those lower console for my wagon. they are non-existent here, if you happen to come across one its sold. sweet write up and good job on the wagons!
Super small updates, but still updates. Finally started working on the wagon again.
Out with the old, and in with the new
Took out the old Tein HA's and put in the Ksports that have been sitting in my garage for a couple of years now. Probably going to have the teins rebuilt and put them back in at some point since they seem to be better.
wow maybe i just have a crap load of time buti just went thru this entire thread. its came a long way from stock. i must say one of my favorite wagons and im glad you didnt give up on it cause of rust
Nice lower arms.
I know one manufacturer stopped making them.
Whom are those made by?
I've seen more of these on shuttles than any other EF !!
I sold my Teins and went for D2's. Same as KSport in reality.
Wish I hadn't, but the problem with the Teins was the lack of height adjust and just the spring adjust, same as yours.
Wasn't happy about how much they needed to be lowered to get the ride height verses the shock travel.
I actually really like the TEINS. I have the Type HA ones and they aren't too bad. My wife actually didn't mind them which says a lot. I am more than likely going to send them out and have them refurbished and put them back on, but this time with the helper springs.
The Lower Control Arms are actually the ones that were discontinued. There was a thread about Suspension Technique having some sets left that they were going to sell, and I jumped on it pretty quick. I stripped all the old battleship gray paint off and powdercoated them candy orange.
Freshening up the motor for the charger. Tore the motor down and found it to be in superb condition. So new headgasket, oil pan, front and rear main seals, new valve stem seals (pain in the ass), cam seals, new o-rings everywhere. Put on a adapter to run an oil cooler (my dohc zc had a stock OEM oil cooler actually but wanted something larger), removing the black breather box on the back for a aftermarket air-oil separator. Powdercoated some of the brackets, metal coolant pipe on the back, thermostat housing, and the oil pan candy orange. Didn't do an undercoat on the powder just wanted raw metal with a translucent orange.
Modified the sohc power steering pump bracket to fit the dohc zc motor and clear the timing belt. Going to have to modify the timing belt cover to fit as well. Still need some off the wall drive belts to run the accessories as the sohc D belts don't fit even close with the supercharger on there.
Like I said not pic worthy but here you go. I actually had to raise it two inches because all four tires were rubbing the inside of the flares, it now sits on a complete set of suspension techniques drop forks and lca's. Little bit more cutting on the inner rear fenders and I should be able to dump the rear on the 16x10s but unfortunately I can't do much for the fronts anymore.
Yeah the big hammer might work but it probably wouldn't look all that great. They were rubbing the inside of the fenders and when I turn the wheel they catch that outside of the fender. The car also sits too low to use my fender roller. OH well it actually sits lower than the German law allows so it needs to come up anyways. No big deal.
Little more work on the motor. Hopefully it will go in here soon. Getting some OEM paint mixed as well.
Is that just a tinted clear on your oil pan? I like the way it looks!!
I stripped the oil pan to the bare metal and powdercoated it with a candy orange. The Candy colors usually require a bottom coat but I like the bare metal myself. It doesn't come out as bright but looks pretty good.

Any chance you could get somebody to scan/build that D to ZC adapter in autocad?
do eet! then pics! turned out really good on my old jdm integra, valve cover is a little dirty, but it still looks good

Damn, someone needs to start making them again.

Slowly but surely coming back together.

You can with a BFH!
