  • Working on getting these installed. Gotta make some gaskets then I can install the charger. There are some things on the charger that need attention. Gotta make sure I do everything right which costs money. It is coming along though, unfortunately at a snail pace but as somebody here said, "progress is progress."

Take your time and do it right. Everyone will end up happy :)
  • As you can see I am taking my time, and probably too much. Luckily I have heat in the garage now so I can work a bit more in this sub zero crap that is going on over here. At least now with all this time and money in these cars I have insured that they will never leave this family

Me :) It's the troof, lol.

I like the speckled black look, I think it'll look great once it's in - esp since the car is red. ...imo.
  • I don't use gaskets anywhere in my supercharger/manifold/s-tube setup. Too many opportunities for leaks. For the last 4-5 years, I've been using HondaBond, or Loc-Tite Permatex Ultra Grey. It does a much better job of sealing imperfections in the mating surfaces, has a certain degree of flexibility, and is much easier to clean off when the time comes to re-seal it, as opposed to a dried on crusty paper gasket.
  • Yeah I was definately considering that. After taking it apart there were only a couple of spots that had gaskets on it. They were small areas of the charger but I can get the liquid gasket stuff all day it is the paper crap I can't get. I guess liquid it is.

    Thanks for the info.

  • Working on it just very slowly. I have the supercharger put back together just trying to get this damn AE86 finished so I can get it out of the garage and get the wagon in there. After the lift was installed the garage has essentially become a one project car garage. I raise one up and park my daily underneath
