I need to see how far I can turn those monster 16x9s up front. Haven't went from side to side yet. I might only be able to drive it in and out of the garage.
That struck me as funny considering your sig line.
keep up the good work, you know you don't want to get rid of it! What would you do with all those 4X100 wheels?

HA HA yeah you got me, but the wheels were so cheap I just couldn't pass them up. The fact that they were 16x9 and 16x10s made them even more of a buy I couldn't pass up. I also picked up a set of 15x8 Schmidt Modern Line wheels the same day I picked up the Steffans. I also have aquired a set of BMW 15x7 E30 Alpina wheels too.
Hello, my name is Jason, and I am (sniff sniff) a wheel junky
If I get rid of the wagon the rims won't go anywhere. I want to get another old opel and they are also 4x100 but as I said before, the more I work on the wagon the more motivated I am to keep working on it.
I can throw the Kakimotos on there again. I will have to find my adapters and stick them on there. They are all 16x8's now because I put all the 16x7 kakimotos on the CR-V.
Thanks for the support guys. I am going to try my best to finish this thing for you guys.
So I finally got the metal flares in. Had to cut the excess metal off and started to test fit. Hopefully soon I can weld these things on and cut the bad rusty crap off. They don't look to bad if you ask me. Going for a more finished look instead of the bolt on ones. I am still trying to figure out what to do about the part of the flare that goes down over the bumper. We will see but here goes.
Another pic of my two projects
Pic of the Turbo motor (Nissan CA18DET) going into the AE86 Levin
the wago is gonna look badass... garage looks nice too...
No I didn't make them, wish I did. Here just about every older car has a rusty quarter panel so you can buy just about every replacement piece you need to fix it. I just had to search and search and search until I found a repair panel that fit my idea.
Curious to see how this looks. I don't like bolt on fender flares, I'm expecting this to be sick.
I am with you. Not a huge fan of bolt on flares, I have some that have been cut and fitted to the wagon but after seeing a few guys put some on I decided to try a different route.
Hopefully it turns out okay. It can't be any worse than the rusty panels I have on there right now.

OK, spill the beans . What chassis/year did those alleged repair panels come from?

Yes, inquiring minds want to know. As well as those who have rusted out quarter panels!
YOU HAVE EXTRA FRONT FENDERS AND YOU ARE PRACTICING WELDING ON THEM AHHHH!!!   :x Any ways, looks really good, and I am really looking forward to seeing these done. Do spill the beans on where those came from.
It is amazing that I am already getting pms from people who want to copy what I am doing
I think fiberglass is much easier and much less work for those who are asking. If you fill and paint the fiberglass it will be the same and require much less work. The flares I have extend down past the fender just as the fiberglass ones will. I think even when I fill and paint, these won't look much different than the universal fiberglass ones. As far as these stick out I don't think it will look stock when it is done. So if you are looking to get that stock look with more flare then you will need to get something much more subtle than these.
I am still looking for something else that will fit the bumpers much better. In the meantime you can cut up some Audi fenders if you want
Some more progress.
Cut and bent the old fender to help support this. A good idea maybe for those of you who are running fiberglass flares.

I actually have two more sets with the stock red paint in case I ever want to go back to stock
